I had the privilege of going to Ken’s Chinese restaurant about 2 years ago. The food was so good I genuinely still think about it till this day. I live in edmonton so unfortunately I can’t visit often but whenever I’m in Calgary I try and go. His family is very kind and the food is not very expensive and absolutely delicious. Would recommend Ken’s Chinese as your go to takeout/dinner.

Ordered from Uber Eats. Honestly not that great.
Everything was super greasy, like my spring roll was soaking in oil.
Salt and pepper squid, overcooked and batter is very dense.
Ginger beef, pretty sweet, same greasy batter.
Sweet and sour pork, not enough sauce, fried the same way in the same batter as everything else.

I got delivery and it was very hot and fresh. The chicken fried rice was nice and had a clean taste, fresh and not mushy. The sweet and sour sauce is not thick and bright red like the cheap stuff, it's thinner and coats evenly. It definitely has an elevated taste that I was not expecting. Also very generous portions. Great Chinese food.

Quick and easy takeout order. Had the curry chicken and some war wonton soup. Both freshly made, burning hot, generous portions and delicious. This really hit the spot. Price was on par with most Chinese restaurants. Totally worth it.

I ordered online. That was easy part. Picked up on time. But the chicken fried rice was lazy, and the chicken balls tasted old and freezer burnt and the red sauce was not good. I enjoyed the egg roll, However. Wouldn't recommend. Bland and not very good sadly.

Best ginger beef in the city!! I always order from Skip The Dishes and this is my new go-to place to order from since moving to the SE. I haven’t been to the location yet, but I hope to go with my family soon. Their ginger beef is so good and actually has a spicy kick (unlike other Chinese restaurants in the city), which I LOVE! Prices are very reasonable too. The chicken balls are also a favourite of mine. The food is always consistent and tastes amazing.

We went in for dinner, and I was exceptionally happy with the service & the food. Prices are below average, and the servings were quite generous. And the gentleman serving us had a big smile and a great sense of humor.. which is needed dealing with me..😂 I'd definitely recommend it, and I'll definitely be back !
