Maybe I'd just expected too much from this place on a Monday for lunch. The chicken shwarma bowl was a great idea, but it was missing the flavor that I was looking for. There were 4 groups in the place at 11:30. We were given a ketchup bottle that had 1 squeeze left.

This is the place to be with friends and family. The food is soo good, the staff goes out of their way to make you feel good. Top shelf atmosphere. Quite often there is live music.

Kilt is a great pub. Atmosphere is fantastic here. Attended for the first time in a while for a fundraiser last weekend. Staff were attentive and accurate with drinks coming out as ordered (and quickly). Had a burger and fries - the burger was delicious - looked to be 1/3 lbs in size. Was really satisfied after the meal. There was live music and playoff hockey on, so all in all a great Saturday night
If I went out more often, I'd likely come back again!

What a crap experience. Would have loved to have given the menu a try and enjoy the atmosphere, which to their credit is very nice, but after 30 mins of sitting with my wife watching couples sit at tables right next to us get service and drinks, and nobody talking to us what so ever, we left. Really disappointing. It was a busy night, so I understand things can take time, but a simple acknowledgment that we were there and saying you'll get to us when you can, would have solved everything, even the fact that they served two tables beside us without saying a thing to us. Really disgusted with the service, will never go again and will never recommend to anyone.
*Update* Very impressed with the owners quick response and for taking my complaints seriously. Everybody has bad nights and I'm open to something innocent explaining it, such as we could have been in a table between servers zones, which may have caused some confusion, and that mixed with the busy evening ended up with us being over looked or whatever the reason may have been. To the owner: yes it was November 2nd, we sat at a smaller table, on the left hand side of the restaurant when you walk in the doors, right by the railing to the upper seating area (we were the lower side of the railing by the step up area, if that makes any sense). Opposite to us was the bar seating in the middle of the room. Thank you for your very genuine seeming response. I don't think we will be back anytime soon, but I won't write it off and I won't discourage anyone from going there in the future. I have amended this review to reflect your impressive response.
I'd love to give a review of the food, but we never got any after 90 minutes of waiting. I'd also love to say something positive about the service, but we were blatantly ignored. In all honesty, it was strange and very frustrating. I've never been given such poor service before or watched every table around me get not 1 but 2 servings when they ordered after us. Don't plan on going back any time soon.

Lots of TVs with the games on, fish and chips tasted great... real cod. My wife shared a fish and had steak bites, seemed to enjoy as well. Loud and fun atmosphere, we will come here again

Came here for dinner with my husband tonight to enjoy a date night out in our neighborhood. My husband ordered the blackened chicken po boy and, as soup was a side option, he asked her what the soup of the day was. She didn’t know so she went to check and came back and told him it was chicken noodle. He then said okay I’ll do the yam fries. 10-15 minutes later our food shows up and I thought it was strange they brought out my entire meal but only his fries. More minutes pass and we realized she took his “I’ll have the yam fries” as his entire order. When she came by to check on us I told her that he had ordered the sandwich with yam fries and her response to me was “oh….he said just the yam fries so I assumed that’s what he wanted.” In this instance I would have expected an offer to put a rush order in on what he had originally ordered (because she did come back afterwards and admit she messed up) or to even comp the fries. But, no. Instead we got charged $14 for a laughable sized bowl of yam fries drenched in grease. Sad because I love a good neighborhood spot but I’ll never be back.

Never again Kilt & Caber. Yet another poor experience here. I had ordered the blackened chicken po boy and then asked our server what the soup was. Our server didn't actually know what the soup was so she told me she would go check. She then came to let me know it was chicken noodle, to which I replied "thanks for checking, I will just do the yam fries". When our food finally came to the table, my wife received her burger and fries and I received a cute little bowl of yam fries. We started eating expecting my sandwich to soon arrive...this was not the case. Our server came back to the table a little while later to check on us and ask if everything was okay. We had let her know that I had ordered the po boy with yam fries as a side. She apologized and asked if she could get me anything else. Not the reaction a person would expect in this instance. I responded with a no thank you as my wife was pretty much already done her meal. No offer to put a rush on a sandwich, no offer to comp the yam fries for the mistake. Low and behold we found a $14 order of yam fries, half of which were swimming in their own grease, to be on the bill. At least my wifes meal tasted good...but not good enough to ever spend our money here again.
