I had a special experience at Kim's yesterday. The warm miso soup was really impressive. The servers were so kind. My friend who came with me was also satisfied.

service needs significant improvement. The server looked like she didn’t want to be there or do their job. Rude and unprofessional.

I’m honestly disappointed. We stood there waiting like fools while the staff blatantly seated people who walked in after us, without giving us so much as a basic explanation. No apology, no update, nothing—just ignored us like we weren’t even standing there. It felt insulting and unprofessional, and the longer it went on, the more it became clear they had zero respect for our time. If this is how they treat customers, they shouldn’t be surprised when people walk out and never come back.
I am absolutely furious with the way my friends and I were treated at Kim Katsu—we were flat-out denied service for no clear reason, left standing there confused, only to watch a group that arrived after us stroll right in and get seated as if we were invisible! The disrespect was unbelievable, the lack of communication was embarrassing, and the whole experience made us feel completely dismissed and unvalued. If this is how Kim Katsu treats customers, then they’ve made it very clear they don’t deserve ours.

Hands down the best restaurant katsu I've ever had the hell pork katsu 2 flames was amazing my wife loved the regular pork katsu my aunt loved the ebi udon my mother loved the ebi Don even leftover thrown in a pan with oil to recrisp the ebi katsu was a 10 I could even tell they used high quality eggs for the rice bowls and the miso soup needed some green onions or seaweed to add for texture but the broth was phenomenal my wife's a massive fan of miso as a whole and adored it

First meal when we landed in Alberta.
The food was not only amazingly tasty. It looked beautiful. Every aspect of a great meal was there.
The oil used for frying was clean realizing in perfect Katsu.
The meat for beef tartar was freshly cut right in front of us.
The broths and noodles were perfectly flavored. Staff was attentive and courteous to our every need.
I really wish I had a Kims Katsu in Toronto.

We had dinner on a Thursday at 8pm and it was pretty busy but no wait. Service was quick and we enjoyed our chicken katsu and katsu curry dinners. The complimentary miso soup is a nice touch.

Went there for my birthday with my kids and visiting family. You definitely get a huge amount of food for what you pay for, everything was delicious (the hell sauce with 2 peppers is deadly and amazing). Service was great, everything was great. Thanks Kims Katsu for making my birthday so great😊.
