Stopped in to grab some lunch on my way back home from Calgary today! This is for sure top 3 oxtail I’ve ever had! The portions are huge, I definitely can’t finish this plate! But I want to. Bonus, I have leftovers for dinner!

You know how you read reviews and you’re skeptical when it says really good? Well this time it’s an accurate depiction of the food & service. We’re a family of 4 and had several dishes. The Red Pea soup was worth coming for alone!! Simply delish! My family had to order another to share -yes, that good!! The portions were generous but the taste was the star here-King fish was done to perfection; the Oxtail-tender and saucy! There’s already comments about the coleslaw-crazy good! Worth every penny! My one comment is the main dish Oxtail wasn’t temperature hot, just warm. Now I could have asked them to warm it up -but it was so, so good, I didn’t want them to take it away for even a sec!! What can I tell you, being honest here! Try it-you’ll leave very satisfied and wanting more!!

Stumbled across this gem today when I was in search of lunch. The owner greeted me from the bar as I walked in then ran me through the menu, and some items not on the menu.
I had the Cocoa bread jerk chicken sandwich. It was fantastic! I've never had this anywhere before. It was very tasty! Simple ingredients and a good sized sandwich. I quite enjoyed it!
The service was fast and the prices were very good!
I do recommend this place and certainly will be back.

THIS IS THE BEST FOOD IN THE YYC! PERIOD! I stick with my half jerk-half fried chicken or half oxtail-half fried chicken with a ginger beer on the side. Nothing beats it (just look at the photos!). Big ups to King Solomon and all his staff, friendly people and great service. I can't get enough!
