Arrived a little after 2pm they close at 3. Ordered food to stay and was told by the girl, they don't generally take orders to stay after 2pm. Food was hot, but as if it had been microwaved. Not the same since they closed their original location.
I really miss the old menu since they closed Barlow location the food is not the same. I miss the original chicken noodle soup no won tons in it. Also the original deep fried won tons were a lot bigger and tasted better, now they are very small and the batter over powers the taste. Would like another location similar to Barlow's was, with some of the old recipes back in and the quality that kings once use to have.
I’ve had their dumplings and soups through various local fundraisers but never their prepared dishes. Finally got takeout today (fantastic communication and options for contactless pickup!) and was blown away. The tastes, the textures, the portion size, all amazing. Great reusable/recyclable containers were securely packaged, nothing spilled. And it was super easy to add some frozen options to our order so we could have dinner again at a later date without worrying about leaving the house.
Amazing soup. I've been coming here for years and it's always great. The spring rolls and fried wontons are so good!
A significant drop in quality of food and service compared to the iconic Kings on Barlow. The wor wonton is nothing like the old one and it’s a fast food serve-yourself, not a restaurant.
Screwed up order
I would normally give it a 5 star not sure what happened to this place, much different than the Barlow location with Christina. I've always loved the Wor Wonton Soup , but today not so good. Very little vegetables and the couple carrot slices that was there were not cooked, and a couple big strips of pork, it was just a bowl of vermicelli noodles and not much else in that bowl, was not happy. The lady working there was super nice but I can't see myself making the trip there again for a bowl of noodles.
My wife and I just purchased 2 war wonton soups from the Edmonton Trail location. We frequently purchased soups from the old Barlow location. We are very disappointed with what we received! We paid $25 for 2 soups and got 3 wontons in each soup! What a complete scam! We will never go back to King's again! Quality has completely dropped. Very disappointing food.
Love this place more than words can say! Every time we come here we are ALWAYS greeted with a smile and a warm hello. The owner most often comes to our table and treated us like one of the family, extremely friendly atmosphere. The decor is super cute as well. The food is outstanding! I’ve never left unsatisfied. The deep fried wontons are to die for. No jokes, haha. The soup, amazing. Do yourself a favour and eat here ASAP. It will not disappoint
THE BEST WOR WONTON IN THE WORLD!!!

Miss the great old school vibe of the original location on barlow trail. Much smaller menu here, the soups ok now, not great anymore :(
Great atmosphere, delicious food and convenient location. Very friendly staff. Chili oil is delicious
I ♥️ King's, great food, great price, great staff. A wonderful family run establishment.
Still the best wor wonton soup in the city. Large wontons in a very very excellent broth loaded with veggies. Bought a large jar of the Kings chilli oil. I use it for everything that needs spicing up. The Chili's are slow cooked and not burnt like most other restaurants.
I come here all the time. Food is extraordinary and the service is always fantastic. Best chili oil in town! Highly recommended.
