What an amazing experience!! Great sushi restaurant. Wonderful selection of food ? Very large variety of food items including Sushi, Tempura, salads and much more!! Service was fantastic!!! Very quick and accommodating. Food arrived at perfect time and temperature. Everything was DELICIOUS. There is also a little store with Japanese snacks and cake, bubble tea and more!!! For sure a place to come back.

On February 15th I was in for dinner. It was my birthday but due to the day of the week it was on, I was left celebrating on my own. I took myself out to dinner anyways thinking this would be a nice treat. Well, after being sat I was not acknowledged for more than 12 minutes (I only timed the 12, there was a few before). I had to ask if there was a server who was going to be looking after me, and never received wasabi/ginger/water (he had to come back to confirm I asked for water)/the sampler plate/chopsticks or napkins. In the end the server who did bumble his way through my meal ended up bring me the wrong items, despite me having them literally written down, and he circled them, on the order form. Then he tried to pass it off like he was doing me a huge favour not charging me for them, when it was literally his fault in the first place. Another server, Kenneth, ended up helping out and was way more attentive and kind than the server who basically ignored me because I was on my own. In the end I didn't bother tipping my own server, but did give money to the girl at the front to tip Kenneth. What a horrible experience, I'm sorry I chose to go here for my birthday. I didn't even get pocky at the end!!! I did speak with Rob about this a few days later, which really was just letting him know although he said he would check the tapes, there was no real resolve. This is now just up as a warning to others. Maybe choose somewhere else for your special occasion! *edited because I wanted to add in the server had to come back to confirm I asked for water (my only drink)

Good sushi. Quick service. Decent prices. We like their tempura calamari and the sashimi.

The Dalhousie station Kinjo is one of our go-to restaurants not only only because it's close to our home, but because we've never had a bad meal in all the years we've patronized this location since it first opened. Sushi, sashimi, ramen, and even the recently added takeout fried chicken and bubble teas are good value for money. Long gone are the days when Peter Kinjo himself would put on a mini show for customers, but the food is reliably well-executed and served by friendly, efficient staff.

Yes there are multiple locations across the city, but each one seems to have their own ambiance and this was no exception. Very welcoming and very busy. Many delivery drivers coming through. Menu was colourful with plenty of pictures showing all the different dishes. The Mango roll was fresh with crisp tempura and sweet mango. The Tiger roll was good but the something in it was slightly tough…not sure what which spoilt it slightly. The Miso soup was excellent with noodles and a small piece of pork. Takoyaki lacked a little briny bite but was decent overall. The Star had to be the UnagiBBQ which was full, fatty and just melted in the mouth. We did order more but this is just a few items. Keep track of what you order and what arrives as it does not all arrive at once, but as it’s prepared so you have a constant stream of dishes arriving. Thanks to the small army of chef’s in the kitchen. Staff lost track momentarily and we almost ended up with someone else’s dishes…and extra of what was ordered. Question: to return? A safe bet if you are in the area if for nothing else then to check out their in house store which had some good deals on snacks and candies, and their discount sushi and Bento boxes…

I LOVE sushi and I am so sad to say that this was by far the worst I have ever had. Food quality was bad and the rolls tasted very odd. Some were so bad we couldn't finish them for the first time ever. Will never go back

Always just had sushi decided to expand my horizons since my girlfriend isn't a sushi enthusiast Food was fresh and well balanced portions are for single or shared plates Tempura asparagus were awesomeKimchi was spicy and salty enough to enjoy straight or added to rice or a piece with Teriyaki beef for hot spicy salty teriyaki goodness -- yum

Food was fresh and flavorful. Covid protocols in place. Will be back soon.Great company helped to bring the experience memorable. Our server was well informed when questions were asked about the items ordered.

We went with a group of ten for a birthday party. Service was excellent and food was consistently great. High quality and prices are reasonable.

Very disappointed in the quality of food and very poor management and customer service from Andre TAMBUNGCO, the GM. I noticed another negative review about the management. Andre should not be dealing with customer complaints, his language is extremely combative.

The staff and food at Kinjo always make it an amazing experience. This past weekend, restaurants had just opened up and they handled the transition very smoothly. To make an already evening even better, Daniel, who typically worked at the Mahogany location (near out home) has been transferred here, and he made the visit extra special - thank you for always going above and beyond! Highly recommend.

I've ordered pick up (trying to help by now found delivery service) 4-5 times now. Complete train wreck. Clunky online ordering system. Peter this needs to be improved. On pick up complete chaos. I'm standing here waiting for my 630 order pick up at 715. This has happened every time. I've supported Peter since he opened Sumo at Eu Clair,I can't keep doing this. Might have to move on.

I like this location in addition to Kinjo's original Macleod Trail location. The restaurant is huge and very nicely decorated. The staff are very attentive, friendly and efficient. In the past , I have had the deluxe sashimi platter, deluxe shrimp salad, tuna sashimi, miso soup, assorted sushi rolls, house salad and seaweed salad. I have never been disappointed. I would give this restaurant 5 stars but there are no revolving boats and no Kinjo haha. The only thing I would change is the host or hostess should go around to the tables and just say hello and check in with the customers and handout Pockys like Kinjo used to do. It's amazing what an impression like this makes; especially if you want repeat customers,
