The barbecue beef burger is out of this world. Life changing. I would've taken a picture but both hands were smothered in glorious marinade. Kogiya's 4.7 stars right now makes this a severely underrated stop. 20/10.

Consistently delicious food here. I've tried quite a few menu items and it is ALL SO GOOD. Their sides are also super tasty. Prices are incredibly reasonable for the portions and the quality. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

I got the beef bulgogi and it was pretty good. I saw a lot of people getting the bbq beef which looked much better. Pretty good value and amount of food.

I recently had the pleasure to visit Kogiya Korean BBq recommended by a friend, and it was an amazing experience! This hidden gem is in a food court spot in downtown Calgary exceeded my expectations. The food was simply delicious. I tried the beef bulgogi, which was tender and packed with flavor. The side dishes were a real treat as well, especially the kimchi and the bean sprouts. Everything was fresh and tasted homemade. The service was fantastic too. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They helped us navigate the different options and made sure we had everything we needed.Overall, I highly recommend Kogia to anyone looking for delicious Korean BBQ in Calgary. It's definitely worth a visit, and I can't wait to go back!

First it's a food court so I do not expect quite the same as I would in a sit down restaurant. Quick fast service, friendly enough. I had the beef noodle soup. Picture was me half done ... sorry. Lots of meat which as pretty tender and flavourful. LOTS of meat. Had some veggies and I chose rice be ramen noodles. Not spicy so add sauce if yiu want (they have multiple types). Broth was pretty rich, quite good. I'd order again. I couldn't finish, I think there's enough there that heavy water would be quite pleased. Price I thought was quite reasonable. I'd go again.

I ordered the jumbo box and steak. Both come with rice, jumbo you pick 4 sides, steak you pick 2. I ordered right when they opened through ubereats, and selected 6 different sides. The meat:Short rib - tender, fatty, juicy, with a strong soy marinade. Pretty good! Best meat in the jumbo box which came with 3 slices. Bbq chicken - 1 skinless bone in chicken thigh. super over cooked but marinate is fully immersed in the meat. Tastes more like soya sauce braised, but has bbq grill marks.Bbq beef - not bad. Nice bite sized pieces, heavy char/grill marks and Smokey tasteSides:Garlic potatoes - not bad. Has a thick, glossy glaze Rice cakes - very sour like kimchi and mushy texture. Tastes a bit like ketchup sauce...Veggie pancake - mushy/soft/gummy, including the veggies. Wish it was more dry and cripsy.Spicy cold noodle - ok. Kind of like spaghetti with peanut sauce.Glass noodle - a bit soggy but otherwise not badSpicy coleslaw - by far the best side. Good mix of veggies that are all still cripsy. Dressing is tasty too! A little sweet and spicy with sesame seeds. The terriyaki sauce looks house made. It looks like an orange colour glaze with stuff floating in it. I'm guessing it might be meat juice since the sauce tastes like meat drippings instead of your standard terriyaki sauce. The food came in paper boxes which were super soggy and heavy. Needs to be eaten right away or moved into your own containers.Overall, they have a wide selection of food to pick from. Some are hit or miss. Despite being a little greasy, you can come out with a decently healthy/nutrious meal depending on what you pick. I personally wouldn't eat here again, but I recommend it to those looking for cheap food! The portions are huge, Can't find a better portion/price/nutrition better than this if you aren't a picky eater.
