Mediocre sushi. Don’t order anything complex they use day old tempura shrimp from the day before for dragon roles. Disgusting and careless. Oysters are good. Just give them simple stuff to do they cut corners on everything else.

The service was amazing, and the food was fantastic. It was quiet, and peaceful and a totally enjoyable dinner. The table we sat at had a post partly through one seat, and we had to move the table to sit down, but otherwise the space was great. (the bathrooms were sparkling!!!!) The only downside was they were almost out of the special sashimi, and we were only able to get 2 pieces. On the plus side, we got the last two pieces, and they were divine!!! We also ordered 3 platters of the Buck a Shuck Oysters and although they only have the one kind, they were fresh and were absolutely fantastic! All of our food was great actually, and we were extremely happy we went. BTW this place has the best BC Rolls (BBQ Salmon Skin) that we've had in years!!! Absolutely recommend based on that alone!

For years, we've stayed away from downtown Calgary; however, we learned about Koto's happy hour and oyster deal so we thought, hey, let's give it a try. Parking has always been an issue, but past 6 pm, street parking was not a problem. Lots of tables. Great smiling staff. Quick service. Clean. And most of all, we're happy with the quality of the oysters and sashimi. We definitely would be back!

I’m not sure what others are saying, but we loved our experience here. The food—especially the oysters—was incredibly fresh and served on ice. The ponzu sauce made them even better. While the sushi wasn’t as flavorful as I expected, the other dishes were fantastic. We came during happy hour, so a few items were sold out, but overall it was a great experience.

We went for happy hour oyster, oyster came a bit warm. Oyster taste fine though. Salmon roe is very stiff and watery when popped in your mouth. Doesn't taste like the real thing. I doubt it's real salmon roe, if it is imitation roe they should mention it in the menu.

Ok. If anyone wants an oyster deal this is the place! Buck a Shuck still is a thing from 4pm on and if you like 5 star sushi then you need to try this place out! $6 Sapporo pints too during hapoy hr and try out any of the sashimi offerings....you wont be disappointed. We left so full after the oysters and sushi that we went for a walk.....it was totally worth it! Will be back!

Came here for a family dinner. Didn’t take pictures of all the dishes. Very average sushi rolls and some specialty rolls, rice was on the softer / mushy side. Raw oysters were quite small in size, fresh but not impressive. The beef tartare was tasty, that’s the only dish that we ordered twice.

The service is phenomenal, the waitresses are super attentive and kind. The oyster happy hour $1 per is amazing, fresh and served with the most delicious ponzu sauce. Would recommend the calamari with their creamy house sesame sauce and the soft shell crab bun.
Went with family and has the $1 oysters. Because the chefs thought the oysters were on the smaller size, they added some to our orders which was a nice surprise. The food came out quickly and was fresh. Staff was also attentive. Will definitely be back.

Went on Thursday for the oysters. After receiving them I noticed that they were slightly warm to room temperature, though they were served on a plate of ice. The oysters also tasted like they had been sitting in an aquarium as they had that algae/aquarium taste. On the way home I had to pull over and throw up as my stomach was absolutely rejecting what I had just eaten.
