La Casa Latina Restaurant Calgary

Really enjoyed this restaurant. Partner had the pescado. I had the chicken fajitas. Space has nice concept and very clean. Definitely recommend for Mexican cuisine

I don’t know what happened to it maybe a chef by change or waitress change. But wow was the food saltier than the sea …and waitress so mean

We went to Casa Latina for the first time, and it was a really great surprise 🤩, delicious Mexican and Latin food. Also, Ashun was very nice and helpful. We definitely will come back to try more plates 👌😀

Everything was excellent. It is an authentic Latin flavour. Highly recommend 👌🏻

I personally didn't enjoy the pescadito colombiano....fried full fish with the skin, lots of bones and not much meat...it was so difficult to get the meat because of the bones.
Not recomended if you are hungry.
I also had Flan for dessert and it was delicious. The other food on the table that my friends ordered looked very tasty.
Averall very nice place for dine in.

Horrible experience overall, demanded tip after paying our bill, tip isn’t mandatory, its a custom, not a mandatory, did the place meet the regular expectations? No, was it worth $90+?No, Did we make our order complicated? No, they went off by the menu, simple drinks, however it wasn’t worth it, food was bland, it was our mistake giving this place an opportunity; the owner, a man, or another male waitress looked at my partner after paying and said ‘No tip for the waitress? That’s what they live by’ Which made us really uncomfortable and forced us to tip, I’m sorry but it isn’t our fault that you do not pay well to your employees, it isn’t our fault that people do not want to support small businesses. Really uncomfortable environment. Do not recommend, I was really excited to enjoy this place, too bad it turned to a really bad and uncomfortable experience. I did not have a good time, so you cannot obligate me to pay my tip.

Phenomenal food!

I was hoping that the third time would be better because there was an event. First time service was poor we ordered fish the fish was over cooked and so dry and the patacones / fried plantains were stale and hard as a rock. I talked to the server she gave me a new portion of plantains but nothing about the fish and she said they couldn’t do anything about it. I paid and I left. Second time we went again because I friend wanted to try Latin/mexican food we ordered seafood soup but literally the seafood was non existent. Same situation with the server they didn’t do anything. I was like that is it. I’m done with this place. But here comes the third time just because my friend was part of the event at Casa Latina we paid the cover. Service was terrible, poor, rushed, we ordered something to share nachos and empanadas and it was ok. We were just drinking non alcoholic drinks water/pop but the server insisted that we order something to drink one of friend said fine I’ll get a drink but the rest didn’t. On that note before we ordered anything we explicitly asked the server that we are going to need separate bills and she said yeah that’s fine. After the rest of us were not drinking server comeback and said since you are not drinking here is the bill and it was only one bill. And I said to her we asked to split the bill please the server/the owner said we cannot split the bill because I gotta pay for every transaction that I made. So one of you pay the whole thing and then figure it out between you guys. Obviously no tip was left and sorry but that was my last time. I try to support Latino restaurants as much as I can but with that attitude no thank you be better
