Tried the Sweet Heat Chicken Bacon Hero at La Prep. It was just okay, nothing special stood out in the focaccia or the ingredients

The kimchi mushroom grilled cheese caught my eye… unfortunately they were out so I settled for the fig and goat cheese grilled cheese. I’ve eaten (and made) my fair share of grilled cheese sandwiches and the initial once I got from here was just gross. I’m normally not one to send/bring back food but the sandwich I was served was so soggy from the butter on the one side it was inedible. The worker initially told me that’s just the way it is because of the cheese and butter. Eventually she obliged and made a new one. I asked for the new one to be put into the oven a second time this time. The new sandwich was still soft (not crispy like a grilled cheese should be) but thankfully edible and not soggy. Perhaps whomever is prepping the sandwiches needs to learn to not be so heavy handed with the butter knife.

Poor service unfortunately and experience just below average Mai reason is the front desk employee - Rachel - who was already tired before I even arrived which led to a bad experience while leaving the plane and eager to enjoy Calgary

CELIAC BEWARE. They offer gluten free bread but didn't change gloves or wash hands/cleaning surface. Didn't see the big deal when I pointed out to them. One of few options available on this side of airport so disappointed they weren't a trustworthy spot.

I was served by Jayjay and he made a great suggestion on a sandwich, I would not have normally ordered. But to my pleasant surprise, I completely enjoyed the chicken with pickled beets on a freshly toasted bun. I will be back in the future to try any of what JayJay may suggest. (The 3stars for the atmosphere is because it was at a airport)Thank you 🙏
Worst customer service I have experienced in a while. It’s early. I get it, but I’m polite. I tip. There is no excuse for rudeness. They also overcharged me and refused to give me a refund. It’s $2, but still. If they are overcharging everyone… I won’t go back.
