Food was so-so. Pretty solid for an everyday meal, would not recommend for pastas or starters. Steak was a healthy portion but rather bland.

This upscale gem delivers an unforgettable dining experience with refined, rustic charm—think stone fireplaces, soaring skylights, and timber beams. The menu is elevated and imaginative, featuring dishes you’d never replicate at home: lobster bisque risotto with steelhead trout, lamb with artisanal cheeses, Diane-style steaks, and perfectly cooked salmon with seasonal vegetables. Every bite is a testament to craft and creativity. Worth the splurge.

A few of us visited the restaurant and asked for a quiet area, ideally the covered patio. When we made the reservation, we were told the patio was full, so we were seated in the bar area instead. However, when we arrived, the patio was nearly empty—and even as the evening went on, several tables remained open. Despite this, we were never offered a chance to move.
Dinner itself was good, but dessert was a major letdown. We ordered the cherry cheesecake, and honestly, it was the worst any of us had ever tasted!! Each of us took one small bite and didn’t touch it again. When the server came by, it was clear we hadn’t eaten it. Later, when she returned to settle the bill, the untouched dessert was still sitting there. She looked at it, then at us, and said nothing—not a question, not an apology, and no offer to remove it from the bill.
The experience felt awkward and disappointing. Given how empty the restaurant was, we should have been seated where we preferred, and we shouldn't have been charged for a dessert no one ate. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

We stopped in here recently and honestly, the food was really good! Our server also mentioned we’d get 10% off our entrees, which was a nice surprise.
That said, the experience around paying was a bit weird. When we went to settle up, the pay machine malfunctioned. I got a bit anxious thinking I may have hit my card limit after spending a lot on this trip (lol). The wait staff apologised and said if we paid by cash they would give us a discount for the inconvenience. We couldnt go for it since we were saving our cash for the Calgary Stampede. They seemed a bit annoyed and we then tried the machine once more and it worked. Thank God.
We laughed and said we were off to buy more grub with our cash at the Calgary Stampede but then the server told us about a great offer on takeaway desserts, 50% off, but only for cash orders. It sounded good, so I asked for a crrme brulee, but then they said that one wasn’t available for takeout. I was left feeling a bit sad because i thought my companions at the hotel would like to try something but no matter.
After speaking with a few other people who work in restaurants around the city, Ivve been encouraged to mention this. I guess it is kind of a red flag but I’m not trying to get anyone fired, maybe i even misheard them. I am just so confused about this. and I totally understand that times must be hard and not everyone always knows all the protocols. But it left me uneasy, and I figured I’d speak up in case it’s something management would want to look into.
I've been losing sleep over what the right thing to do is. Our visit was Tue 7 (I think) thought I don't have my receipt. I hope this helps someone

This is always our family's go-to restaurant for everything from a lovely, quiet lunch, to a large family celebration. The quality of the food and service are always outstanding
The bright and airy dinning room along with the excellent service highlight this restaurant. The menu has enough variety with an emphasis on steaks, making this a fine place for couples or adult groups. We will return here regularly.

Fantastic experience all the way around. First, service by Monique was exceptional. So attentive, pleasant, friendly and helpful! The food was perfect! Difficult for our whole table to select appetizers as every one was so amazing. Mains came out hot, and delicious and fairly large servings. Very good wine selection. Highly recommend!!!
Delicious. Great service from our server Michelle 👏
We were rookies. It seemed like we were the only people needing the menue.

Monique provided excellent service, always being available when it seemed right. Appetizers of Coquille St Jacques, escargot and crab cakes were excellent alongside a garlic roll. Steak tenderloin Dianne style very tasty especially homemade hollandaise and Cajun Ribeye excellent. COD also excellent
Food was wonderful. Service was exceptional and I really enjoyed my time here.
To start, we had the parmesan fries, and the baked brie. Both of which, were delicious. Especially the baked brie, which paired with their amazing baguette, made for a spectacular appetizer.
To compliment this, we had the baked pretzel bread, with soften whipped butter. The bread was hot, straight from the oven. It made for a perfect appetizer.
Onto our mains, me and my lovely wife had the New York Strip and the rack of lamb, both of which were cooked to perfection. The lamb had no gamey taste, and was perfectly seasoned. Honestly the best lamb I have ever had.
Our friends had the prosciutto-wrapped stuffed chicken, and it was phenomenal. I had a sample, and have never tasted chicken breast this tender in my life.
The seafood bucatini was spectacular as well, and was honestly really filling. The creamy sauce paired with the noodles made for a really comforting dish.
This was all really filling, and when we ordered our desserts we were in for a treat (literally). We got the Chocolate Molten lava cake, and the dragon fruit creme brulee, both of which exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed both desserts, but the stand out has to be the chocolate molten lava cake, with it being freshly baked and paired with a side of ice cream, the two flavors really completed each other.
To highlight the service, all staff were extremely attentive and welcoming. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant and when we left we felt like we were being taken care of really well. The water glasses were always topped up and the staff were quick to answer any questions and concerns we had. Truly phenomenal service and one that restaurants in Calgary should strive to mimic.
To start with a few positives. The servers and hostess were great. The atmosphere was lovely on the enclosed patio. Wood, stone, glass and a fireplace. The only mistake is the exposed ac units lining the outer wall.
The issue was the food. We had steaks and both looked like they had been steamed. They were 2 levels under what we asked for. The medium rare was closer to blue and the medium was rare. The blue went back and still came out nearly rare. The steaks were tender but the grills needed to be way hotter to achieve a better result.
The veggies and potatoe portions were small for the price and had a fishy taste. I walked to the bathroom past the kitchen and the fish was all I could smell.
The best part of the meal was the peppercorn sauce and the desert. Overall not a great meal but we had a decent time.
