This restaurant is a gem!. We are relatively new to the neighborhood and found Le Villa by accident. Our recent meal was simply wonderful in all respects. Our servers were friendly, affable, attentive and very experienced and professional. The food was no less impressive. Our meals were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We feel like the luckiest people around!!

My wife and I Love Levilla Restaurant. We had dinner there again a few nights ago and as always, our dinner was wonderful. My wife had the Pan Fried Steelhead Trout and I had the Seafood Bucatini. Both were so delicious. We shared a bottle of Zenato Ripassa which is always a wonderful choice. Our waiter, George, was awesome and very knowledgeable. In fact All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We love the atmosphere at Levilla as well. We find it has a perfect ambiance for casual dinner conversations. I took myself out for lunch today and had a Malbec with a cup of tomato and basil soup and the boar gnocchi. The soup was deeply flavoured and could easily be a lunch with some garlic bread. The gnocchi dish was rich and satisfying. Boar is a refreshing change Portion sizes was in line with the prices.
If I lived close to here it would be in regular rotation. Definitely give it a try.

Service top notch, food cooked perfectly and the dining area is lovely (gives you mountain cabin vibes). We had a group of about 15 and our server was extremely organized and personable. Our food and drinks came out without a hitch. Several of us ordered steak or lamb which were cooked just as requested. Delicious. First time there. Will definitely return.

After waiting a year for La Villa to reopen following fire damage, our family was excited to finally dine here. As locals in Strathcona, we had high expectations and were led to believe this would be a high-level dining experience. Unfortunately, it fell short in several key areas.
Our reservation (under Michael Van Olm) was moved from a Tuesday to a Friday to accommodate additional family members (8 total). Despite cancelling the original booking, we received a call confirming the cancelled date and were told the advertised half-price wine night would not be honored. While the discount itself wasn’t the issue, withdrawing a publicly advertised promotion at confirmation without prior notice reflects poor communication.
Upon being seated, we discovered used spa pedicure flip-flops under the table. Although they were removed, there was no apology or management acknowledgment, which set the tone for the evening.
Service was difficult—not due to our main server, who was friendly and trying her best—but because she was clearly under supported. Assistants appeared undertrained, resulting in delayed refills, slow plate clearing, and limited check-ins. The food arrived cold and underwhelming for the price, and cocktails were poorly executed. Despite clear opportunities for service recovery, management never engaged with our table.
Our bill was close to $900, making the experience especially disappointing. While La Villa may benefit from a local customer base, we would choose to dine elsewhere where leadership presence and service standards are more consistent. The only positives were the wine and beers ordered.
We still tipped appropriately, as our server worked hard and was not responsible for the systemic issues. With stronger management presence, better training, and improved attention to detail, this restaurant has potential—but based on this visit, we would not return or recommend it.
Le Villa is a reliably wonderful restaurant, as it was tonight. Appetizers are delicious. We had the escargot and Coquilles St. Jacques. And the entrees were equally delicious - seafood bucatini and steelhead trout. Nothing better!!

The ambiance at this restaurant is wonderful. They have decorated for Christmas without the decorations being too much or too loud. The fireplace is warm and inviting; we sat right next to it. The service was attentive yet not overbearing. I had stuffed chicken which was cooked to perfection. Juicy yet charbroiled. The rice dish was cheesy and seasoned very well. My daughter had a ribeye steak cooked exactly as she ordered. The cheesecake for dessert had a hint of coconut. All in all a wonderful evening. We will definitely be back.
