Yes i gave the Lighthouse a 1 star rating. I had 1 not so good experience in 15 years recently. I was angry at the time and that should not be there . I am changing it to a 4. Although it's not perfect, it's quaint little neighborhood pub that believe it or not, like Cheers , everyone knows your name

It's your typical neighborhood bar, but with terrible service and even worse food.
Went in on a Sunday evening, there couldn't have been more than 4 tables sat in the entire place. Open mic night.. you'd think it would be busier..
Ordered an appetizer and it came quick, too quick.. and it was inedible. Literally couldn't eat it.
Besides waiting over 20 minutes for our first drink and being served grey rubber steak sandwiches, I would reccomend the wings. They weren't awful.
Cool little shithole for regulars, but expect the worst if you're a new customer. Go somewhere else.

Walked in with my partner and was ignored by the belligerently drunk bartender as he talked to his friends. Weird atmosphere would not recommend. Terrible service. Had to leave with no drinks or food.

Stopped in at The Lighthouse with some coworkers and had a great experience. The steak sandwich was delicious, and the service was top-notch. Fawn, our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive—she really made us feel welcome. Shout-out to Dave behind the bar as well—great drinks and great vibes. Highly recommend!

This quaint blast-from-the-past atmosphere offered a relaxing setting to decompress and enjoy a bite. I’d describe the service as having a down-home feeling. The service was like being spoiled by a favourite aunt. The bathrooms were sparkling clean. I have been here twice now and my steak was cooked to perfection both times; the fat was trimmed and even though I like my steak done medium, they still delivered a tender and juicy Alberta beef experience. Jen at the bar was a dream. Our servers both times we ate here were excellent. The prices were incredible; more than reasonable. The other customers offered a fun vibe from retired seniors to others of various generations. This place is great for just showing up as you are and having what feels like a home-cooked meal. We will definitely keep coming back! PS. The chocolate dessert is perfection.

The management turned a blind eye to people openly vaping in the bar. This puts the health and safety of patrons like myself who have serious allergies at risk. The Alberta Tobacco Reduction Act is very clear that management is responsible to ensure that vapes and other forms of smoking are strictly prohibited. I hope the health inspector charges them or shuts them down.

Fun little spot with pool tables, games and a seat for everyone. Dimly lit and sports memorabilia on all the walls. Quick greetings as we entered from service staff. Food could be better but at that price point it’s hard to beat. Make a stop if you’re in the area! Good Happy Hour.

I’m not one to post negative reviews, but I felt that this was necessary. I came with a group of friends at around 7pm on Wednesday, August 28th. I brought my own food for several reasons: a) I’m a bodybuilder under strict dietary restrictions b) I stay away from gluten wherever possible c) I’m recovering from an eating disorder I completely understand that some restaurants do not allow people to bring food; however, the manager proceeded to rudely tell me to put my food away and physically took my water away from me. I left in tears. If you are a manager, you should at least learn basic respect and boundaries with customers. I would love for a DIFFERENT manager to reach out to explain to me how and why they felt that that response was reasonable. I completely understand AHS regulations, but I feel incredibly disheartened and hurt with how the situation was handled. That is a response I’d expect from a 13 year old boy, not a hospitality professional. For future reference, a grown man harshly speaking to a young woman looks pretty bad on your part. I would like to credit our waitress who tried her best to rectify the situation. Thanks!
