Lil' Empire Burger - Capitol Hill

What a nice place! Modern and bright and very clean. 2 nice outside patios also. And now the food…delicious! Fries were sufficient for 2 to share. Burgers are made with 2 patties and the buns were fresh. As for the menu and prices you can see that online. Definitely will be returning there soon again!

Such a cute neighborhood burger joint. The strawberry milkshake brings back memories. The hot dog taste a bit weird. Like the meat is very chemically tasting. I could only eat half.

My family and I always like a good burger. When I saw a Youtube video of Lil' Empire Burger we just had to try it. The place is easy to find an near 16th avenue but parking is a challenge as there is limited 2 hour street parking. It's in a residential area so there are lots of permit parking. It's a nice little corner restaurant with lots of seating on patio and also inside.

One thing that struck us is the place is super clean and we liked that the restaurant had sustainability practices in place. For example, there is no garbage - only recycling and compost. All their cups and burger boxes are all compostable. They also provided a water dispenser to fill up your water bottles or compostable cup (provided). I even saw outside they had little bowls so even your furry friends can have water.

This restaurant, you order at the counter, they give you a buzzer and when food is ready you pick it up. We had 3 Double Empire burgers with cheese, 1 Empire burger with cheese, and order of fries to share, and a chocolate milk share. Also, took advantage of complimentary water and I dispensed waters for the table.

Everything was really fresh and tasted great. Burgers had great flavour and didn't fall apart. The fries were nice and crispy with warm soft center. The milkshake was great and not super sweet albeit a bit small.

Staff were friendly - they all said bye to us, when we left, like they appreciated us being there. Great food, inviting space, and sustainability practices all make this a 5* review.

Just one word can describe my experience... Perfection. If you are craving for a F****** good burguer, this is the place. I couldn't take pictures because after the first bite I just couldn't stop. You can taste every ingredient in the burger, and yet they merge together so nicely. The quality of the ingredients is present in each one of those. We order the dirty fries and Oh Lord!! My expectations were shot to the skies. They were like I wanted them to be crunchy by the outside and sof by the inside, perfect seasonings generous amount of sauce and excellent balance of flavors. For last, we tried the milkshake and...God Damn!! Such goodness should be forbidden for the mortals. It is creamy, sweet enough, and not overwhelming. If the ambrosia exists, it should be this milkshake.

Oh Lord, forgive my fat soul, and may you give more time and health to try this delicacy one more time. Please, guys, keep this quality forever.

We ordered:
-2 burgers (1 single patty, 1 double patty) -One order of fries and gravy.
-2 cans of diet coke.

This was 40 bucks (after a 15% tip because the guy at the til was so great) Still for 35 dollars of Wendy's or Harvey's, your buck goes wayyyyyy further.

The burgers were good. Not great. Same for the fries and gravy, super standard nothing notable. My dad had read somewhere they were "the best burgers in Canada" so we had to try. It was all hot and fresh and made to order which is always great for this type of meal nobody wants precooked.

Still sadly, they're not worth returning for.

I hope this establishment sticks around and improves and expands their burger menu, as there are only 2 to choose from. Which would be fine if they were good enough you wouldn't want anything else.

My gf doesn’t like mayo asked to substitute for the dill sauce they put on the chicken burger , they wanted to charge $2 for substitutions, the burger is already $13 no sides no drink . What a rip off . I enjoy the burger personally , but if the are going to charge an arm and a leg already for a burger and no sides , you shouldn’t charge $2 for a substitution of sauce it’s not that hard to not put mayo on and just the other sauce .wont come back !

Fantastic spot to grab a delicious burger or chicken sandwich, staff is always amazing and friendly.
They have awesome local options for sodas, cocktails and local ice cream.
The spicy Korean chicken sandwich is one of the best takes in a spicy chicken sandwich I've had.

Love this little joint. My family and I go here in person and order online often and quality is always great!
The staff and manager Janeth are always so friendly and passionate about the food.
Recommend both the single burger and newly improved veggie burger.
It’s a must visit for all you burger lovers.

Good food though service was a little slow. A basic burger in the best way. Get a double patty (regular) burger, the patties are quite thin and one patty may leave you wanting more.
