The avocado toast I received resembled something I might throw together with kitchen scraps on a hungover Sunday morning—far from what I’d anticipate from a fine Italian bakery. The bread didn’t even seem toasted; it was more like stale bread, as it wasn’t warm at all. The overall experience left me feeling disappointed, and the food seemed like it came from an entirely different establishment. I’m hesitant to give their breakfast another try; that avocado toast was just too depressing.

Lina's Bakery in Calgary is an absolute gem! My breakfast experience there was simply divine, easily the best I've had in years. The attention to detail and food presentation were exquisite, making each bite a delight for the senses. Not to mention, chatting with and watching Arzu meticulously crafting our dishes added an extra layer of warmth to the visit. I must admit, I wasn't expecting to find fine dining quality food at an Italian market in Calgary, but Lina's exceeded all expectations. I'll definitely be recommending this hidden treasure to some of my close friends who live in walking distance. They'll have a hard time resisting the temptation to go every morning for breakfast!

Great service from cafe and hot food staff, good selection of produce, great prices on some items (Hutterite eggs are a great deal). Bread is made fresh and is delicious, even has a vegan selection of bread and desserts.

This place has the most amazing breakfast pizza and all kinds of other pizzas are also amazing. I love buying bread, olives and cheese here - perfect place if you want to do a charcuterie - you will find everything in one place.

The BEST Italian market/deli/bakery/restaurant around! Ordered a Porchetta for a romantic dinner and they actually roasted it for us, to perfection!! Excellent prices on everything, anything Italian you can imagine to purchase, delicious espresso and goodies, spectacular pizza by the slice and yummy sorbetto too! Beautiful customer service on all fronts as well! We can't wait to go back and try more deliciousness!!

♿ Wheelchair accessible, wide variety of grocery items including a comprehensive deli section, freshly baked bread and buns, hot food with many Italian options and excellent pizza by the slice, and good coffee!I downgraded my rating recently from five stars to 4 because prices have gone up substantially recently. No, it's not just inflation. They used to be more competitive. Of course, having said that, they do have a good selection.Another note on accessibility: something's wrong with the front door and it doesn't open all the way making entrance difficult with a power wheelchair. It's been like this for years and they never bother to fix it. And there is no power door opener so you'll have to wait for a customer or a staff member to open it for you.Also they've recently taken to stacking so much stock in the aisles you can barely maneuver with a wheelchair. If they go any more in this direction, the store will become inaccessible.

I visited here yesterday with my husband and ordered the beef stew with rice. It was a really hard choice, as everything looked delicious. The beef stew was beyond amazing—so good that I bought another one for dinner to take home. I will definitely come back more often for the food.
