That charred cabbage. Wow! I would’ve never ordered that if I hadn’t read the reviews. Not a cabbage guy but that was a unique & fantastic bite of food. Massive portions so order accordingly. My chicken was fantastic. Butterscotch pudding was descent but nothing that blew me away. Look forward to trying other dishes at a future visit.
Excellent customer service! The staff were kind and attentive. The decor was elegant and the ambience was great. The food was quite good; it was tasty. The presentation of the dishes, prices and flavour were excellent. I enjoyed being able to see the kitchen staff cooking in front of us; it added to the experience. We had a good time at Ten Foot Henry.

I have been here multiple times and the food has always been excellent but tonight our server drove me to write an actual review. Carson was such a great server, very friendly, funny and really paid attention to everything we said. It is rare to find a server like him these days!
My mother in law also noticed an issue with one of the taps in the washrooms, and Carson mentioned it to the manager, who dealt with it straight away. She made sure to even have my mother in law show her what the issue was when she didn’t find the issue straight away, instead of just dismissing the it.
As for the food, the charred cabbage was our favorite out of the three vegetable dishes, and all the three pastas were amazing. The tuna crudo was also fantastic.
I would also say getting the desserts from here is well worth it, the butterscotch pudding in particular.

4 times in two days! We were staying at Arts Hotel across the road and my husband became obsessed literally! The service and the food was so good! The staff was passionate about the dishes and encouraging to try things! On one of our repeated visits we also got to sample some dishes we hadn’t tried yet! How fun! Love the cauliflower! Husband was crazy for arctic char (ordered 3 times). The food you feel healthy and satisfied! Everything is fresh and delicious! We will be back on our next trip to Calgary!

This place does not disappoint. I’m a vegetarian and I found so many options and didn’t feel limited to choosing just based on if there was meat or not. Carson our server was incredibly kind and accommodating too. If you are looking for a refreshing way to start your Sunday come here(or any day haha).

TLDR: Over-hyped, boring, and not great vegan options.
Given how frequently this restaurant is recommended in reviews as a must-visit and praised as vegan-friendly, the reality was surprising.
The “vegetable-forward” label is misleading. Vegetables may be central to the menu, but they are often paired with substantial amounts of dairy, which makes the plant-focused positioning feel overstated. There is not a single serious vegan main on the menu, and the absence of intentional, fully plant-driven options is glaring.
The dishes we ordered, including the potatoes, Henry salad, salted cucumbers, and roasted cauliflower, tasted fine but were entirely straightforward. Nothing demonstrated meaningful creativity or technical ambition. Each plate felt easily replicable and, in many cases, improvable at home.
Restaurants like Avelo show what genuine vegetable-focused cooking can look like, with structure and technical depth. Even restaurants such as Jérôme Ferrer, which do not brand themselves as plant-centered, offer dedicated vegan menus that are more cohesive and imaginative than what is presented here.
The decor is nice and the service was good. However, atmosphere cannot compensate for food that feels safe, predictable, and vastly overpraised. At this price point, pleasant is not enough.

Another amazing experience at Ten Foot. Yes, not meal- because it is so much more than that- it is an EXPERIENCE. Our server was so great- very kind and attentive. Every item that is dropped off, comes with a thourough explanation of what's in the dish/ how to best enjoy it. Fan favourites were the beets, scallops and cabbage. Nothing else we had was pictured because we were too busy devouring every bite. What a place!!! Keep doing what your doing!!
