Went for lunch. Food was decent. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned. Not a lot of choices for healthier sides. Service was a little slow, but the server was friendly and tried hard. It seems they were short-staffed. Nice views, and I’m sure it’s very beautiful at night. The restaurant itself seems a little tired and can do with a refurbish.

At first, the experience was good but nothing extraordinary. The starters were good, however I did notice that our server Sina was not as attentive towards our table. Then came to ordering the mains, last time we were here the experience was good and the fries were more potato wedge like. This time the fries were different and we did not enjoy it. I did let our server know we did not like the fries and we barely ate it. When it came to the bill we waited 8 minutes while he was beside us not attending to our table. We were in a rush to leave, he then just walked up to the table without saying a word. I also did notice he did not take off the fries from our bill. Not that $11 is a lot to ask for, but as a customer paying for something that was not as expected and we did not even eat should not be charged. He hesitated for a moment then said “oh i’ll see what i can do”, I have served for years prior to this and this attitude given to us was unacceptable. It was clear he did not like our table so he decided to give attitude. So as expected, he did not receive the tip for his inattentive service. What pushed this to a 1 star review was that as we walked out a different server with pink hair said “wow” as we walked past with an attitude. I understand tipping is important especially during these times, however he very clearly did not deserve the tip. Tips are given based on service and it was genuinely lacking in every way possible. I have never seen a steakhouse with such rude service. It has definitely declined since I’ve last been here but do not recommend having Sina.

Hands down, this place is my top spot in Calgary now. Everything was just perfect - from the friendly welcome at reception to the amazing food and cocktails. We got a table by the window for a birthday celebration, and our server was fantastic, giving us great suggestions from the menu. The atmosphere was super cozy, and the view was absolutely gorgeous. Overall, such a great experience! ❤️🔥

Crispy hen egg? MUST TRY. I want to have my eggs like this all the time now. The scallop crudo was meh. I think the dressing is too dense for the dish, tastes like mayo. The beef tartare is really good tho! Oysters came with their house hot sauce but I didn't think find it hot so I recommend asking for a side of tabasco. I forget what else was in the other sauce except for the fact that it has apples. Definitely something I haven’t tasted before and it was good too. Okay so, I don't like lobster rolls at all but when I saw that they had crab & shrimp rolls on the menu, I HAD TO TRY. Did not disappoint. The texture of the bread was light/fluffy and buttery.
Next up, mains! I saw so many people posting the porterhouse steak so of course I had to try. Taste was good but it was cooked a bit unevenly. The duck was good too. For pasta I got the fusilli which has shrimp, roasted tomatoes, chili & mint. It was topped with something crispy but I'm not sure what it was. Maybe breadcrumbs or panko?? The texture paired so well with the pasta though.
And to end off the night... You absolutely need to try their London fog dessert. It was so good I ordered 3 and started calling it crack in a jar LOL. It's almost like a cheesecake type of situation but lighter. The lavender foam top was delicious!
For drinks I tried the butterfly's elbow and moonage daydream. I would recommend both. Plus the butterfly's elbow is instagram worthy, even had the table beside us asking what it was!

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Major Tom, and it was an unforgettable experience. The nighttime views from the 40th floor were absolutely stunning, and the staff went above and beyond by accommodating our request for a window seat so we could enjoy the best view while dining. The halal steak and salad options were a fantastic touch—perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The dim lighting and sophisticated decor also created a calming and special atmosphere. Thank you, Major Tom, for making our dinner so memorable!
