One of our favorite Chinese restaurants in the city. Excellent food quality. Just a really loud environment during busy hours.

At Marco’s Kitchen, it was an amazing experience. The food tasted splendid with all kinds of taste. The Peking duck, the beef, and the TEA was great. We got a lot food for the money we paid which is rare in these days. The service was also “clear and concise.” The staff helped me find my way and they were very polite. Overall, this was a place worth visiting. God Bless.

We had a mediocre dinner service tonight. We ordered 12 dishes, food came out so quickly that it felt chaotic. Dishes arriving faster than we could finish what was already on the table. We had to stack plates on top of one another—something that goes against the etiquette of a proper Asian dining experience, where meals are meant to be leisurely and communal.
Several seafood items we had looked forward to ordering were unavailable, and the restaurant did not honor the Peking duck special that was prominently featured on their menu.
Also who puts lettuce in fried rice? It should be sliced ends of Choi sum. 👎🏼
There were a few of the dishes stood out in terms of flavor and quality, the rushed pacing of the meal meant we couldn't fully appreciate or savor them. Would recommend ordering braised pork belly with preserved vegetables, ginger beef, braised beef with daikon.

I really enjoyed the food here and the value was excellent. The Peking duck was tender and flavorful, while the skin was crispy. Most of the dishes we ordered were made very well with great flavors. The spicy cold chicken was delicious. However a few were misses. The soup for the duck didn't taste good and was too vinegary. The pineapple pork was fried well but too sweet. The service also wasn't great and food came out slowly, but it was a very busy day for the restaurant so it's understandable. The price was very good and despite ordering a lot of food plus duck it was very reasonable.

Great food and portion sizes, one of the best authentic Chinese cuisine restaurants in Calgary. Great place to host events if you want everyone happily leaving full and satisfied. I hope they keep up this level of quality.

Disappointing Service Despite Good Food
The food here is great, but the service is absolutely terrible. The servers didn’t attend to us—we had to grab our own napkins, chili oil, and basically serve ourselves. Even after asking for service, they ignored us.
Because of this, we left a 5% tip in cash when paying the bill. However, the cashier aggressively demanded a 10% tip, claiming it was mandatory for dining in a Chinese restaurant in Calgary. She even yelled at us and refused to let us leave until we paid.
This was a horrible dining experience. No matter how good the food is, we will never come back. Avoid this place if you expect even basic service or respect as a customer.

Been here numerous times over the past few years (but I don't live in Calgary). Usually come for dinner and everything has been good to excellent. Nothing bad. I like that the menu isn't the regular stuff that is appealing to the non-Chinese people. There's so much unusual stuff to try and it's all been great. Both my adult sons love it too, so when we come to Calgary they both want to go there. Did dim sum once and no complaints at all. Very nice. I only did 3 stars for atmosphere, but 1-3 is typical for almost every Chinese restaurant but as long as the food is great, I don't care.
