Masala Art Indian Restaurant

We had been looking to replace our ‘go-to’ East Indian option, after our longstanding restaurant sold their business (menu change sadly no longer lived up to expectation.) After venturing to try a few new restaurants, we continued to be met with disappointment. It was then recommended by my physio therapist to try Masala Art. And glad we made the trek on a cold winter Sunday night to support small family owned business. We were met with a gracious welcome. Atmosphere was simple, yet cozy. The service was top notch and very attentive. The samosas were fresh and flavourful, sauces were fresh and the Naan was absolutely classic and hot sizzling of the chef’s station. The veg korma vegetables tasted fresh and leftovers the next day, the flavours melded together even better! The staff and chef were inquisitive to the flavour satisfaction amidst our dining, we felt they picked a suitable spice level for our tolerance and were intuitively precise. I hope to see this business thrive as it is well deserved. I recommend even quantity items of samosa as I have a hard time arm wrestling over the 3rd Samosa, lol.

Recently moved out of town and was missing mom’s cooking. Went to a few Indian restaurants and they disappointed. Masala art arguably has the best Indian food in all of Calgary! Great service and better food l. Highly recommend

I ordered on Uber and they left me a cute little note asking for a review with a smiley! Love when companies do that. I got Butter Chicken & Regular rice. The rice was perfect and the butter chicken sauce was incredible I will order again but next time get it spicy (got my lips done so I had to get mild lol) the chicken was pretty dry though most of the time in butter chicken it's really tender and flakes apart and this was not like that. That being said the sauce is more important to me then the texture of the chicken and the portion is really good. This is not one of those places where the butter chicken tastes like tomato sauce it's really really good. Will order again for sure I wanna try different ones.

We were invited by our neighbour and friend who owns this restaurant many times long time ago. We finally made it to his restaurant today after our visit to Heritage Park. We were welcomed and seated by the friendly owner and his brother. The service was good and the food we ordered really yummy. Actually my wife and I really had a good kick out of the food. We definitely will come back and recommend this food place to our friends. Thanks again for your friendship!

This place is amazing, the food is SO good. They were very sweet and accommodating for a large order - and made sure to be extra careful with a few different allergies. Food was ready on time, packaged well and they gave us free dessert. Highly recommend for a nice family meal.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten, Nuts, Sesame - they were very accommodating and no one with allergies got sick from anything :)

We've ordered take out twice from Masala Art and have really enjoyed it both times. Really fantastic spice profiles used. Getting medium is definitely a western med, so I wouldn't be afraid to go hot next time, which is a good thing! My husband is a wimp with spice, so he loves their medium.

We just had a family gathering of 13 people and ordered take out from masala Art. I first went in and talked to the chef about my special order a few days early. He was very understanding both of the degree of spices I wanted in each order and the large containers I wanted used for each selection so I could keep them warm in the oven. Upon our picking up the food it was piping hot and freshly cooked. Staff helped carry out our order to our car. There is no problem with parking close to the restaurant. Our whole family loved the food and we all can hardly wait to get together for another Indian supper. This is a repeat from last December. Thanks to Masala Art for making our supper such a success. Your staff are very attentive and friendly.

I had a fantastic dining experience at Masala Art Restaurant! The veggie pakora with red chutney was crispy, flavorful, and a perfect start. For the main course, the Paneer Tikka Masala with naan and rice was absolutely delicious—the paneer was tender, the masala rich and creamy, and the naan and rice paired perfectly. Every bite was amazing, and I highly recommend this place for authentic Indian food. Can't wait to visit again! Thank you for a wonderful meal!

This is a go to restaurant for our family. Simple well curated recipes and very kind owners. Also a great catering options for religious functions as they do their best not to cross contaminate veg/non veg which is a must for religious events.
