Strongly recommended nice simple Small design place with open kitchen, very good brunch opinion and friendly staff.
Arrived at 9.20 on Sunday and around 11.00 it was fully loaded, better to book ahead.

My friend and I visited Maven for brunch on a Saturday at 10:30 AM, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish.
The food was absolutely delicious. The menu is incredibly diverse, offering a great range of flavors and portion sizes to suit all levels of hunger. We were impressed by the quality and presentation—it was truly a step above. (The photos show the beautiful scrambled eggs on toast with a side salad and a lovely panna cotta!)
The atmosphere is a huge draw. It’s very cozy and intimate, with only a few tables, which makes for a great dining experience. The noise level was perfect—we had no trouble holding a conversation, which is a rare find during peak brunch hours.
A note on timing: We had put our names on the waitlist, and the wait wasn't bad right at 10:30 AM. However, the restaurant did start getting much busier around 11:00-11:30 AM, so I recommend going earlier if you want to avoid a longer wait!
Highly recommend Maven for a top-tier, intimate brunch!

Great brunch and the best Benedict's!
My wife and I came here just before our wedding in November. We were seated very quickly and had amazing server. When they found out we were getting married that weekend the owner came right over and congratulated us. She even wrote us a card wishing us all the best from her and the Maven Team. It was such a touching moment that will stick with us forever.
Now to the food! The starters were delicious, we had the Fry Bread with Cream. For mains my wife had their classic breakfast and I had the Mexican Style Birria de Res. Both were delicious and the portions were perfect.
Definitely will be returning when in Calgary next!

Great food! Cute atmosphere, the only downside is the service is VERY slow, we were here on a weekday and this is the slowest restaurant I’ve been to in Calgary, so just keep this in mind if you’re on a lunch break or need to leave at some point

First off, please make reservations as this place gets really busy, and I'm glad our group did!
A group of 5 of us came yesterday for brunch. We shared 5 dishes between each other, and all of them hit, but my favourite was the singapore style pork congee! Service was great and accommodated well for those who had allergies.

Had breakfast at Maven today. Nice spot and friendly/good service. I had the Rosemary cured bacon Eggs Benedict. It was well below average as the bacon was mostly fat and the bread that the eggs were served on was burnt/hard as rock. The potatoes were good as was the coffee. Not worth the substantial price

Amazing fusion food. Tough to get into on the weekends with how busy it is but it’s worth it. You can make reservations on the weekdays though
I visited Maven for brunch after my daughter recommended it, and unfortunately it was a very frustrating experience. We waited more than an hour for our food while watching multiple tables around us—some that ordered well after we did—receive their meals, finish eating, and even pay.
Our server never explained the delay until we finally asked, and even then there was no clear answer whether the issue was with the kitchen or with the server. At that point, we decided to leave and asked for the bill. Someone who seemed to be the manager offered us a voucher, but as visitors to Calgary—and after this experience—we declined.
For the price point, there are plenty of other brunch options in the city that respect guests’ time and service expectations. Sadly, we won’t be returning, and I hope the restaurant addresses these service inconsistencies.

Maven Brunch has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Calgary. I often order the “Still in Manila” and it honestly feels like I’m back in the Philippines having breakfast with my family. The house-candied bacon, garlic fried rice, scrambled eggs, tomato onion sawsawan and toasted pan de sal are such a comforting combo and worth every bit of the $23. The flavors are so nostalgic and made with so much care. If you’re craving a taste of home or wanting to try something delicious and authentic, this is the place to go!

Love the variety and the concept of the menu! There’s so many interesting options that I’m gonna need to go back multiple times to try everything. The service was good and the food was delicious. The space is larger than expected because they have seating in the back too.

I had a really lovely brunch at Maven, thanks especially to our server who noticed my discomfort with the sunlight and graciously closed the blinds without me even asking. The food was comforting (the bread in particular had a good chew and tasted very fresh). The space is small with lively acoustics (it got quite noisy) and a few plants could use some TLC, but the attentive service really left an impression. I see why they have a waitlist and I’d gladly wait again :)
