The McDonald's restaurant has shown some improvement in service over the years. The drive-thru offers quick service and generally accurate orders, making it a convenient option for many customers. Recently, the drive-thru was quick and only one item from the order was messed up, which seems to be common here. The restaurant's location within a Calgary Co-op gas bar adds to its accessibility, although parking can be difficult as the parking lot is blended with a gas station. Inside, the restaurant is very small and the staff are all international speakers, which may make communication a bit challenging. During a late-night visit from 12-6am, some unusual and unsafe situations occurred, with homeless people lurking around and inside the restaurant, and a person getting into a verbal and physical argument with himself. Despite this, staff were friendly and mostly ignored the disturbances, likely for safety reasons. Overall, the food quality is typical for McDonald's, providing the familiar menu and quick service that many expect. A Fillet-O-Fish order was missing tartar sauce on a recent visit, which was disappointing, but the restaurant generally offers what customers want for a quick meal.
