This is a 5 star place! The food and service was excellent. Not only did my friends and I had lots of fun, but the food was beyond what we expected!I ordered the extra meat ramen dish, and the broth was incredibly tasty along with the pork and combination of veggies. On the side I ordered that onigiri. My friends and I also split the mixed tempura, and a warm thing of sake!I'll certainly come back here and bring other friends and family!

No vegan options :( C'mon!

The broth is not tasty as it seems, the noodles are not thick and smooth. The service is good, but not that happy with the food its a 3/10.

Love the tonkotsu ramen and tempura here. The tonkotsu is creamy (it’s usually more creamy and opaque than pictured, my broth is a bit thinner because I asked for less salt), noodles are bouncy, pork is very flavourful and nicely charred, egg is perfectly cooked, and the veggies were very complementary. Tempura is perfectly breaded, light and not greasy. Shrimp was perfectly cooked and a nice assortment of fresh veggies.Service is prompt, friendly, and unfussy. Atmosphere is minimalistic but authentic, definitely reminds me of places in Japan.

The staff are super friendly and helpful, and their food is reasonably priced. The food is not the tastiest, but it holds up well! Their portion sizes are quite large though. The atmosphere is quite cozy, and it didn’t seem like they were that busy although we went in on a Saturday night. They also had Korean music playing which was lovely!

Whenever we crave yakiudon, we come here no matter what. Best beef yakiudon in Calgary.About ramen, pick whatever you want because they are all excellent.

I tried the vegetable tempura with kake udon. The kake udon was phenomenal and not overly salty. The vegetable tempura was battered perfectly and had a terrific crunch to it. Would recommend the next time you're in the mood for a non-pretentious bowl of noodles.

Great ramen! Large menu with lots of options. This time I got the spicy perilla tonkatsu and I finished every bit of it! My partner got the curry ramen which was different... thinner than your typical Japanese curry stew but a bit thicker than usual ramen broth. It was also delicious and a nice change.

10/10. Ramen is exceptional. Quality is consistent or better than places in the city that charge $25 a bowl. (Please don’t raise your prices; the value is currently exceptional) deep fried squid is

Menyatai is my go-to ramen place. Their curry ramen broth was really thick and creamy. Was flavourful but not overwhelming. A perfect balance. Will be back to try the rest of their menu!

It's good ramen in town

Tonkotsu was good but not as greasy comparing to Taka (I like greasy). It seemed like they strain out grease. If you’re looking for a ramen place but don’t want the grease, Menyatai is your best bet. Service was great! Tempura was alright. Nothing special. Got negi menshi set (green onion, fish flakes and fish roe on rice). It’s awesome if you’re a big fan of green onion. I loved it. Will be back for udon one day.

The best ramen noodles in Calgary now that Shijiki is closed. The correct consistency for how ramen noddles are meant to be. Also their gyoza and shrimp tempura are pretty good too! Ramen prices are still very good post pandemic -- prices start at $14 for basic ramen ..some other competitors are charging $19 and the noodles don't come close to being as good!!!

First time here and without question, the *best* ramen I've ever had! Generous portion and delicious! I had the Shio Ramen and edamame. Will be back!Update: second time back (I don't live in Calgary) and had the Miso Ramen this time. Still fantastic!
