Really enjoy this marketplace style deli. The coffee is delicious. Their breakfast buffet is great. Prepared salad options are a nice alternative to other places. Staff are always friendly and Damien (I think thats his name?) who I believe is a supervisor/manager is always ready to help his staff and ensure customers aren't waiting around.
There is a competing market in my building Marcello’s) but I spend an extra 5 minutes to go to Merc’s. Food is excellent and prices are very reasonable. You cannot compare Mercatino and Marcello’s in anyway, at least in the buffet side of the things. Yes, Marcello’s has seemingly greater (and some would argue more appealing ) selection, but it doesn’t matter when their food borders on awful. Mercatino has immeasurably superior food and at least 25% cheaper. At least in the buffet side.

Great selection of food lots of variety. I like how the chef’s table always changes every day. There’s always options for things like vermicelli bowl‘s or taco bowl I personally love the vermicelli. Great place great staff

I should have taken the picture... an overpriced, impractical and inedible breakfast sandwich. I have a lot of respect for a spolumbos, a quality sausage, so when I paid $5 for a spolumbo breakfast sandwich I had high hopes. The staff threw a precooked egg on a thin (too thin) English muffin, matched by a thin single piece of cheese, then a poorly cut sausage (down the middle not! an 90/10 cut), two pieces of tomato that together were stacked and covered less than a 1/3 of muffin and then wrapped it up. Okay, it is just a sandwich, but there was no line, no rush and no reason for a sandwich to be poorly constructed, with poorly pre-prepared contents. In a perfect world I would take a bite of sandwich, taste the nice combo of egg, cheese, tomato, and sausage on a crisp muffin. It had to be rebuilt (by me), and with the haphazard contents, it was basically unsalvageable as a sandwich and the contents ate individually. Have some respect folks, it was just a sandwich, but I will not be back...

I am consistently impressed by the oustanding level of service here. The staff working the coffee bar are beyond friendly especially considering the time of day and how busy they always are. Mercantino is always the obvious choice for our team coffees because the experience is very enjoyable and the coffee is top notch!

I like the coffee here. But for food I find their prices are quite high compared to their competitors. I always walk away feeling like I paid more and got less. Won’t be back for food at Mercantino. Plenty of other options around with better value.
