I am not sure why but we did not get our meat dish for a long time after we ate all the pasta and vegetables. We waited and were ready to go before we got it.

We were a group of 8 which was perfect to try many things. We started with 2 types of red wine, a couple delicious old fashioneds and the caprese, bruschetta, shrimp and arancini. All were absolutely delicious. Then the gnocchi and the risotto and our celiac of the group was so impressed with the risotto option. Then the steak, marsala chicken and octopus with brussel sprouts and asparagus. All were stunning right down to the accompanying sauces. Finished the meal with grappa suggested by our wonderful server and an affogato. While definitely an indulgent meal, we all thought it was excellent value, beautiful presentation and flavours, and wonderful service. Loved it all.

Our overall experience was fine. The one issue we had was we had requested a high chair in our reservation but when we arrived we were informed that patrons are expected to bring their own high chair (not sure how we are supposed to lug our big high chair there). I was just surprised no one called to inform us of this as we put it in the notes and we would have cancelled our reservation had we known. Our baby did well being passed back and forth on our lap but it wasn't a very enjoyable experience especially since our meal was very expensive. I'm not sure if this is Mercato's way of deterring people from bringing their babies but unfortunately it will mean we won't be back because every other restaurant does offer high chairs so we would rather spend our money there.

We are new to the area and decided to celebrate a birthday at Mercato. Every dish was both beautiful and delicious. Our server was lovely and the entire experience was wonderful!

Mercato's is a fine dinning experience, which is unashamedly priced accordingly. The food and service are excellent! Each time we have dinner at this restaurant it is memorable and delightful. Be sure to make any reservations early, as many times in the past, we could not get a table unless it was a few weeks out. Enjoy!

If you have kids under 4. DO NOT come to this place. Not only they do not have high chairs, but also the manager will come to say do not let your kids to run around and be respectful of other tables. My kids did not come close to other tables at all….

Remarkably attentive service from staff with excellent food and outstanding wine. Really no complaints during this visit. The dishes ordered had plenty of flavour and were very well-cooked. The wine recommended by the staff was exceptional and went well with the steak.
