Our eggs were undercooked. They said it would be 20 min to poach 2 new eggs. Seems a bit excessive when replacing a meal. They took it off the bill which was nice but we left hungry

First time at Merchants and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A slightly upscale pub type expedience with a great relaxed vibe, welcoming staff, good food and great service.

Once our food arrived at our table, the service went down hill fast. Normally when the food is delivered to the table, the server asks if there is anything else that we need or they could bring. That didn't happen. We had to ask for cutlery, then had to ask for a pasta spoon, then had to ask for fresh ground pepper. The pasta carbonara was very bland and over-sauced. The decor needs serious upgrades; wear and tears in the banquette fabric, scratches on the tables, overall very used and tired decor. The prices are too high for the quality of the food, service and atmosphere.

Ordered a charcuterie board through Uber and was sent moldy brie cheese and clearly old/stale meats. For almost $40 the portion size was laughable as well. Extremely disappointed.

Food and atmosphere were nice.Service was absolutely terrible. Our waitress was at the end of our shift so we paid our bill. The waitress who took over left us sitting there for an hour with dirty plates, no water, didn’t even ask us if we wanted anything else. Finally filled our water glasses, but left the dirty plates there for another 20 minutes. Had she even bothered to check in with us after we had paid our bill we would almost certainly ordered another drink. Bad service and and management to leave people at a table for 1 hour and 40 minutes without offering more food or drink.

Good wine, nice vibe, but DO NOT make the mistake I did in ordering fish and chips. Or should I say chips with a garnish of fish. Waited a long time (to order and to receive) for a plate of cold fries, and two pieces of fish the size of a thumb. Felt like I ordered off the kids menu. Very disappointing considering it seems like a good menu. Expressed my concern, was told that’s how it always is. Was offered to order more food.
Really, that couldn’t have even been a single piece of cod. Maybe half of one filet total. I ate both pieces in four small bites. Tartar sauce was fine.
Average service, food not great, very loud. I've been there a few times years ago and food was good. Hopefully this was an anomaly. Has always been loud!

Stopped by during Happy Hour, and we had a great experience with the food, attentive service, and a relaxed atmosphere.
The Beef Carpaccio was fresh and tastefully adorned with capers, cheese flakes, garlic aioli, and a handful of fluffy greens. The crostinis were nice and crunchy and served as the ideal vehicle to transport the thin beef delights to our mouths. 9.5/10. The Seafood Linguine was delightful with an assortment of seafood topped on al dente noodles, peppered with herbs and olive oil. 9/10. The Green Bean tempura was fried to perfection, complemented with a mouth-watering aioli. 8/10. The Baked Brie was pretty bland and lacked creativity - a lot of room for improvement with this offering. 2/10.
This was my first time at Merchants, and I would definitely come back to try other dishes as their menu is quite extensive.

We had a server that did not want to be working. After waiting ten minutes to be served we flagged down a server. We ordered 2 martinis. They mixed them up. The regular martini had a sugared rim. The lemon drop had pepper in it. When suggested that the drinks were mixed up the server said are you sure? And took them back to be made. I would recommend this place if your in no rush and have assertiveness to complain
