Great spot! Thought it would be small plates based on the pricing but the delicious portions are huge. Would recommend as a must try in Calgary! Even if just for the cool cocktails and fancy dessert.

The beef tartar is delicious. Do not miss out on the dates either! I only wish there were 8 and not 4!! I had the 10oz steak and I have to tell you, it is really good.!

Model Milk offers diners a fabulous menu with lots of choice, creativity and "not so common" meals. Spaghetti was disappointing, oysters were tiny and octopus and herring meals were small and average. The service/wait staff are absolutely stellar; friendly,professional, knowledgeable and very keen to help. Unfortunately the ambient noise in the "energetic" main dining room is challenging. While so great to hear laughs, cheers, and happiness.....almost impossible to have a quiet discussion or hear a greeting from a passing guest. Staff quickly offered us an outside table where noise was different (traffic & exhaust from 17th Ave) but no concrete reverb.
Great experience. Staff is great, great quality of food, the starters all mix well with the main courses. Good wine pairing options as well

This was our second visit to Model Milk and it was as exceptional as our first visit! The service was excellent - staff were attentive, knowledgeable and cheerful. The food was also exceptional! Our favorites this trip were the asparagus and chrysanthemum salad, the hot honey fried chicken and of course, the cheddar apple pie! Our table overlooked the kitchen which provided us the opportunity to see all the staff in action, working with great efficiency and care. The restaurant was bustling and semi noisy but, that is actually to our liking in a dining experience. We observed several other dishes being served, other that. What we ordered, and everything looked delicious, ensuring we will return to try other items on the menu! Well done, Model Milk!

Great vibe and menu, but the service was slow. A lot of time passed between being seated and having our drink order taken, and again trying to get the bill once we were done. We were celebrating a birthday and the service dampened the experience. As it was our first time dining here, maybe it was just a bad night.
