Service was slow at 8pm. Took 45 min to get our main food. Appetizers were not very tasty. However, the salmon and burger were very delicious. Pricey meal for two people.

Great place to eat. Only negative was value for money, very expensive small portions. Having said, I would go again and recommend it.

Excellent food quality and taste. Hadn't been to Model Milk for over a year and half and the consistency is great. We had the Chicken and Flat Iron Steak w/ Beet Salad & Fry Bread. Everything was excellent. Highly recommended.

Great menu selection and wine selection. The meals (Octopus, steak, and burger) were delicious. So was dessert (Mango dessert and apple pie).

Hands down the best service we have ever had. The food came out paced perfectly with time for drinks in between. Our server Sheena was knowledgeable with the menu and her recommendations were spot on.

We came to celebrate a birthday and had a wonderful time! Amazing service, the food was fantastic and we saved a little room for the apple pie!! Great for sharesies. We will definitely be back again to try the chicken next time. Really enjoyed the family style format -lets you try things you maybe wouldnt usually order. Too many good things to say and recommend. We had a great meal! Loved the fry bread to start, and the tomato pasta was delicious. The steak was also a standout, and the cocktails were great as well. I definitely recommend Model Milk for a great meal!

Always a good time! I love that they serve food with ingredients from local suppliers that are listed right on the menu - what a nice touch that you dont see too often. Service is great, and it is a treat to be able to hear and watch the crew in the kitchen hard at work. All these things combined make for a wonderful atmosphere that just makes the experience very memorable.

The one exception to my fish rule

I despise fish - but Model Milk’s cured Alberta trout is the singular exception that proves the rule.

This isn’t a story about conversion or suddenly loving all seafood. This is about one dish so perfectly executed that it transcends my usual boundaries. The cured Alberta trout with horseradish crema, pickled beetroot, and dill was absolutely exceptional - the horseradish crema added just the right amount of heat, the pickled beetroot brought a perfect tangy sweetness, and the dill tied everything together beautifully.

It’s been 2 years since my visit, and I’m thousands of kilometers away now, lying in bed and still thinking about that incredible dish. When a meal stays with you like that, you know it was something truly special.
I still don’t like fish. But this dish? This dish is in a category all its own.

Model Milks chefs created something so remarkable that even the most stubborn fish-hater has to admit when they’ve been beaten by superior technique and flavor. I won’t be changing my mind about fish in general, but this one dish will always hold a special play in my mind and heart.

READ IF YOUVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT TRYING THIS PLACE *** Model Milk has been on my bucket list for a long time, and I am so glad I finally went. From start to finish, it was an incredible experience.

The staff made me feel so well cared for, especially Keenan and Levi, who went above and beyond with their service. My water glass was always full, everyone was attentive without being overbearing, and when I returned from the washroom to find a fresh cloth napkin waiting for me, I truly felt looked after in the most thoughtful way. Dining alone here felt comfortable and special. When I was waiting for my Uber outside after dinner, a staff member even came to check if I wanted water or needed anything, which was just another example of how great and caring the service is.

The food was outstanding. The chefs deserve special compliments for the octopus, which was hands down some of the best I’ve ever had, completely on par with the fresh octopus I once enjoyed off the coast of Antalya. The honey butter buns are exactly everything you dream they would be: warm, rich, and addictive. And the espresso martinis? Impossible to have just one, they were that delicious.

The atmosphere is vibrant yet welcoming, with a star quality that makes you feel like you’re part of something special the moment you sit down.

I can’t say enough good things about Model Milk. If you’ve been thinking about going, don’t wait any longer. Treat yourself. Just do it. Wear the dress. And GO! whether with friends, a partner, or even on your own. This place is absolutely *worth it*

Great spot! Thought it would be small plates based on the pricing but the delicious portions are huge. Would recommend as a must try in Calgary! Even if just for the cool cocktails and fancy dessert.

We went to model Milk on August 1st 2025 and ordered a chicken platter as well as a burger and a sparkling water. The service was friendly but did not tell us the sparkling water was paid and it cost 6$ for a small bottle. The chicken was dry, and the burger disappointed for 30$. I would not recommend!
