A friend and I enjoyed our first experience at the Mohave Grill on New Year's Eve. Today I hoped to have another positive experience there but left disappointed. I arrived to discover that the restaurant was closed between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. The overview page when you Google the restaurant indicates that it is open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. When I spoke to the receptionist in the lobby, she indicated that the correct hours are posted on the website. As we were speaking, the large TV screen behind her changed to feature the Mohave Grill and it indicated that it was open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Pick one - either the restaurant is open continuously from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. or it is not, and the correct hours should be reflected everywhere not just in one location. You can't have it both ways.
My husband and I booked the 8:30 pm Prime Rib Buffet (90-minute dining time) on New Year’s Eve, but it was a huge disappointment, especially for CAD $70 per person.
When we arrived, there was no prime rib available and we were told to wait. The oyster bar closed at 9:00 pm, which was never mentioned during booking. Prime rib was brought out only once, labeled as medium rare but actually closer to well done. By around 9:20 pm, staff said food was no longer replenished.
Allowing guests to book an 8:30 pm buffet when key items are unavailable is misleading. Ending New Year’s Eve with this experience was extremely frustrating.
Not recommended. We will not return.

Spacious booths, and friendly staff. Came here for New Years brunch (they have seniors discount). Food was alright. The prime rib was good, the rest were just ok. I feel it’s not as good as pre-COVID times. Some desserts seemed like they’re catered in and stale. It seems they’re on this downward spiral of cost-cutting with pre-made and low quality food, less repeating customers, then more food cost cutting. We used to come for brunch often on the holidays, but we likely won’t come anymore.

Being its New Year's Eve Dinner our expectation was more, though it was supposed to be Steak and Seafood buffet the amount of items we found was less and poor and very basic. For steaks there was only Lamb which was ok but the beef was bad the pieces was very hard. Overall should have been a better buffet with more choices and for little more higher price. We enjoyed the atmosphere at the Casino at midnight more than the food.
We went for the New Years Prime Rib buffet and they ran out of Prime Rib which was extremely disappointing. Manager comped our dinner but very poor planning on their part as they knew how many reservations they had for the evening. Our server was great!
Best ever prime rib and seafood buffet. I love the lamb!!! The staff were exceptional especially JC and middle age lady with glasses and shoulder length hair. She was very attentive and always smiling. The only negative part was they advertised that seniors get a discount but during bill payment, was told no discount for seniors.
The NYE all you can eat buffet was great. The seafood was fresh and good. Loved the oyster bar. The prime rib was top notch also.
We attended the New Year's buffet again this year, having enjoyed it last year when lobster claws and crab legs were offered. Unfortunately, those items were not available this year and were replaced with oysters instead. While oysters are a nice option for some, they are not comparable in value to lobster and crab. Overall, the food selection felt less premium than last year, yet the price of the buffet had increased. Given the higher cost, we expected a similar or better selection than before. This made the experience disappointing compared to previous years. We hope Mojave Grill considers aligning pricing with the quality and variety offered in future New Year's buffets.

They advertised all you can eat seafood including crab and lobster for New Year's Eve, but did not have any crab or lobster. Very disappointing.
We stayed at the Deerfoot Inn last night and for some reason decided to give Mohave Grill a try again (we’ve been twice before in the past and the service was terrible, but it’s been quite a few years). Things have not changed, terrible service for mediocre over priced food at best. We were there for over 2 hrs for 2 adult and 3 kids menu lunches. I actually warned people waiting to enter that they would be better off going to Mcdicks.

Ordered crispy bacon 🥓 and when the meals came it definitely wasn’t crispy. I asked the waitress and her reply was that’s what they call crispy, and she could take it back to “nuke”(microwave) it longer. Also got bread crusts for toast. For the cost it was absolutely not worth it.

If I could give zero stars, I would
Our experience at the Mohave Gill was so subpar that we waited for 50 minutes before we got a drink and we were told the kitchen was not too busy for speed and we still didn’t get our appetizer after 50 minutes. We had to leave for another engagement and never did receive our food. Dinner beware when eating at this restaurant.

Reservations at 615 pm. Order placed with waitress at 635. 735 our food hadn't been started yet. Was told there were 2 tables ahead if us Ended up cancelling order and walking out. Worst service ever. Found out after it was cause the owner was there and they were catering to him.
