Yikes. I witnessed the so-called “altercation” that triggered this sudden rush of one-star reviews. Every single one was posted within minutes, all from the same group. The coordination is inpressive; if it weren’t so blatant. Same amount of hearts, same cadence in writing.. eek.

I have no connection to the hostess, but watching a table of young women berate someone who couldn't accomodate your large group promptly was genuinely uncomfortable. The rest of the people in the restaurant were trying to eat while you performed your outrage for the room. There’s a difference between disappointment and spectacle, and you chose the latter. Every glance in that room was awkward. Sincerely. For people who can afford brunch, you were humiliating to spectate. I was attempting to hold a minor coffee chat conference with a mentee, and I couldn't even complete the onboarding because of the event that was ongoing.

The restaurant’s overall rating speaks for itself.

As for the restaurant itself, the food was fine. Slightly under-seasoned, a touch overpriced, but otherwise unremarkable. Our morning would’ve been decently pleasant if not for the sideshow. If you’re genuinely curious about this place, go see for yourself. Form your own opinion based on experience, not a flurry of identical reviews from accounts that will likely never post again. I won't be returning, but not to the fault of the restaurant.

Had a great experience this AM at Monki.
I’ve been to many of the other locations so decided to check this one out.
Our server, Nikita, really made the meal.
She was friendly, social and very knowledgeable about the menu.
We had an allergy at our table and she was able to easily help us navigate the menu and provide a lot of great options.
We had avocado toast, the Bennie and shared the seasonal French toast.
My fav was the French toast - would definitely come back for this fall dessert.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to speak up after my experience with the hostess, Nicky. She was very unwelcoming and gave us attitude from the start, along with unpleasant looks that made us feel uncomfortable. It was my first brunch with a friend, and the interaction really ruined the mood. Someone working in customer service should know how to treat guests respectfully. The food was fine, but the attitude from the hostess left a bad impression.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I couldn’t agree more with the comments about the hostess. I had the same experience and thought it was just me. The food was good, but the staff were not welcoming at all, you can tell by the way they speak to you that they don’t enjoy their job. We felt unwelcome, and the looks we got from the staff were unpleasant. This needs to be addressed because Monki should be a warm and friendly brunch spot. I’ve been to other locations and had great experiences, but the Crowfoot one has a serious issue with staff attitude.

Glad others had a nice time, but not everyone got the same treatment. The energy we got from the hostess was straight up rude and it honestly seems like some staff (and maybe a few reviewers 👀) are trying to cover for her instead of just acknowledging the issue. Everyone’s experience is valid, even if it doesn’t fit the ‘perfect restaurant’ narrative. Glad others’ went smoothly though must be nice to be on the good side of the hostess 🤷‍♀️. Meanwhile, the rest of us had to sit there feeling unwelcome the entire time. People are allowed to report being treated rudely without it being dismissed as an overreaction. If the hostess is young, that doesn’t erase the fact that everyone at our table felt disrespected. Do better.

I don't usually comment on other people's experiences, but as I come on today to write about how I had a great experience I see the many comments against the hostess. As a person that was a server years and years ago, I never understand tables that don't try to fix the issue and wait to write a scathing review. The fact the table put in 4 reviews on someone who is probably like 17 years old, take it with a grain of salt. Myself and my friends had a great time. The food was quick and tasty and though the restaurant was loud due to the amount of people, the atmosphere was warm. Our server was friendly and helpful and all the staff seemed to work together. We will be back!

Decent place. Not bad at all. Problem, why others are so fierce? Food, ok. People, very good. Other customers.. problem. Many were complain, making workers have stress and very worried.
Few act very immature and Make big Problem out of small small thing, are very stubborn.

Bad atomsphere, I had my food very loud because of this kind of customers. I did not like this.

The restaurant is really pretty inside! I really like the interior, and people are really kind here. That being said, the food wasn't the best I've ever had, but I appreciated the service. Everyone was really courteous, and Nicky made sure to accommodate me to the best of her ability. It's busy, but for good reason. I likely won't return, but only because my palate doesn't match the menu. Otherwise, it was great!! :)

When we arrived, the host Nicki didn’t seem very welcoming and gave off a bit of attitude her vibe was really unwelcoming. When we mentioned that we had tried to make a reservation over the phone but no one answered, she responded rudely instead of offering a helpful solution, and told us we should’ve booked online. We still decided to stay and waited 30 minutes for a table, which was fine, but when we came back, she just gave me a look and passed us off to her coworker like she didn’t want to deal with us at all.

Our server, Becca, also made my sister feel uncomfortable with a backhanded comment about her food choice, saying something like “someone’s really hungry,” which made my sister change her order. Overall, the staff were rude and made us feel unwelcome for no reason. Definitely not a friendly or pleasant experience. NEVER coming back if yall wanted a good brunch place go somewhere else

Our host nicki was extremely rude and made my group feel very uncomfortable. We were stared at the entire time we were there, and the atmosphere felt unwelcoming and tense. Honestly, it came across as racist behavior. Definitely not the vibe or experience we expected — we won’t be coming back.

Upon arriving, we were greeted by a host named Nicki. Her tone was very condescending although we were just asking if we could be on the waitlist. She responded to us “Everyone usually does reservations online , not on the phone.” . We waited 30 minutes to get seated for a table but throughout our experience, we kept getting dirty looks from that host. Our server, Becca, was great! I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you are expecting good service. Waste of time and money. Go somewhere else.

This restaurant was great and had delicious food that would just make you come back for more! The vibe was quite modern and welcoming with super accepting and kind staff especially our server, Faizan, who did an amazing job serving our food!! Highly recommend and definitely be back to try more of this mouth watering menu!!
