Visited this store a few months ago and will not be coming back. The service was the worst. The staff did not look like they wanted to be there. They were on their phones, sitting in the corner of the store and no greeting when we came in. They were annoyed with my kids taking some time to choose from their many flavours. They kept saying "which flavour? Next? Next?" and rushing us even though we were the only ones in the store!
The atmosphere in the store is very dull for an ice cream shop, not even any music playing. I remember how fun the Altadore location was when I was a kid. Too bad they couldn't make this neighbourhood one more pleasant to visit too. There is no trash can in the facility. When we wanted to throw out our napkins, they told us to go outside and use the garbage can out in the parking lot. Weird to not even have a trash can in your store.
The price point is also not great considering sub par ice cream in cheap cones. Sure, they have a variety of flavours, but I would much rather take my family to Village Ice cream for better quality and service, for the same price of a kids cone.

Worker was being very rude to my family just because we were Asian, and didn’t look very happy with my 6 years old cousin taking 2 min picking his ice cream flavour, I would not recommend going there.

This was a amazing experience! Definitely worth a try! When me and my family entered, that first thing I noticed was how cold it was. Compared to the hot summer day outside it was lovely!
My family got the grape float, raspberry cheesecake, mint, Dutch chocolate and more. The texture is good, but the only thing that wasn’t so good was the sugar crash. I recommend the kid double to avoid it.

First of all, this place serves Foothills Creamery ice cream. It's the good stuff!
Next, the rules: 1. Before anyone will talk to you, you have to pay. They don't tell you that, and it's different from most ice cream shops. They just stand around. So, now you know. 2. You are only allowed 2 samples. Most ice cream shops will allow you to sample their ice cream, it's a good marketing move on their part. For me it helps me choose the flavour I want, it also makes me want to come back and dry different flavours. Again, Foothills Creamery ice cream is top notch.
The service is well below par. The staff seems uninterested and bored. Like I said before, nobody will talk to you until you pay, and they grudgingly give you 2 samples of ice cream. It's not like you're going to sample ice cream and leave, you've already paid. Pricing: 1 scoop (July 2024) is $5.25 and if you want a cone you're paying at least $1 extra so they have a healthy markup.
The day I visited the establishment the outside temperature was above 30C. I thought the place would be packed, but there was no line up, nobody hanging around outside, and only 2 people eating ice cream inside. I guess that should have been a clue.
There are plenty of good ice cream shops in Calgary. This place is NOT my favourite. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
