After years away from the city, I recently rediscovered My Tho, a spot that was once my late-night go-to for Vietnamese-style BBQ meat subs when most other Asian sandwich shops were already closed.
I ordered the assorted cold-cut sub along with some bbq pork sausages for my daughter’s school lunch. The sub was outstanding—generously filled with a variety of premium meats, fresh vegetables, pickled carrots, daikon, cilantro, and jalapeños, all on a perfectly crusty baguette. At just $9, it remains one of the best-value sandwiches in the city. I requested extra mayo/butter spread, and they happily obliged with a generous portion—no skimping here.
The grilled pork sausage was another highlight: nicely charred, pleasantly sweet, with a great snap and juicy texture. Paired with rice and a dash of seasoning sauce, it’s become my daughter’s new favorite.
My Tho hasn’t missed a beat. The portions are hearty, the ingredients are fresh, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. If you’re looking for an authentic, delicious, and affordable Vietnamese sub, this place is an absolute gem. Highly recommended—glad to have it back in my regular rotation!

Me and husband loved banh mi subs we had the sate beef and bbq pork. Pork was very tasty but we love spice it can be little more but still tasty. The sate beef was perfect for us. Totally worth the price for the size of the sub. Will plan to pick their pork someday.

Great little ma and pa pick up restaurant. I've never come across a place that does both Vietnamese subs and bbq meat. Subs are reasonably priced at $9 (summer 25) and are made to order with fresh ingredients (cilantro, jalapenos, carrots cucumber). They also melt with some cheese on top, which I found to be a unique surprise. Bread was soft on the inside and crusty on the outside. A few people were waiting inside for their orders. No place to sit and eat but a quick, inexpensive, satisfying meal.

The baguette tasted freshly baked—light, airy, and perfectly chewy. The assortment of meats was generous and varied, with no corners cut: pink ham (brawn), Viet pork loaf, pork roast, and their heavenly homemade pâté. The veggies? Perfectly pickled carrots, crisp cucumber, onions, cilantro, and just the right kick from properly sliced jalapeños. And that Vietnamese mayo? It takes the flavor to another level!
To top it off, my brother-in-law ordered their charcuterie for a family gathering, and I was equally blown away. The same incredible quality as their Banh Mi—absolutely outstanding!
