Myhre’s Deli is the real deal. The Montreal smoked meat sandwich and poutine were both top tier, flavourful, and exactly what you hope for in a classic deli experience. The atmosphere adds to it all… inviting, and packed with history. The wooden booths and mahogany walls were salvaged from The Palace of Eats, and the design takes inspiration from Wilensky’s in Montreal, giving it that authentic, timeless feel. Everything about this place hits the mark. 10/10.
Saw this place via TicToc and thought it was new. After searching the address and website, realized it was next door to Galaxy Diner and has been around for awhile - I guess you don't what you don't know. My Mrs. And I enjoyed The Jump Off chicken sandwich and the Montreal Smoked Meat and turkey - can't recall menu name. Both were delicious, but we both agreed that the chicken had real pop! Honestly, this is the best Montreal smoked meat sandwich I’ve ever had. The rye bread was outstanding—moist, rich, and full of flavor. Even the coleslaw stood out with its crunch, freshness, and well-balanced taste.
The smoked meat poutine was another highlight, especially the rich, savory gravy that tied everything together perfectly.
