Namsan Authentic Korean Cuisine

It’s not the first time but I have to say this.

We came and got 2 main dishes with a large mocktail for two today. At the moment we felt “too full to continue” that the staff brought us an extra dish. Though we were already full, the irresistible aroma was too tempting to ignore, and we ended up enjoying every last bite. The flavors were outstanding, and the thoughtful gesture made our meal even more special. As I said this was not the first one, and I hope it’s not the last one. ㅋㅋㅋ

Love the food here, and the servers are amazing. I came on a super busy night without a reservation, so had to wait 40 minutes to get sat down. But well worth the wait, was sitting down for hours with friends. Would recommend you make a reservation for Saturday evenings.

The servers are all friendly and kind. With fast and efficient service. It does seem like an establishment more for drinking so it can get quite noisy which isnt for everyone but regardless the food and atmosphere is excellent if you don't mind noise.

We came on a busy Friday expected a wait since we didnt make a reservation. Came there at 7:20pm, workers did not acknowledge us what so ever. Just brushed it off because they looked busy. After about 15min wait, finally someone came up saying that they will look for a table. After another long wait they told us that the wait will be about 25mins. We accepted to wait but the server did not offer to take our names or anything, so I had to offer her. 8pm is what they told us, when we came, still no one acknowledged. waited another 15mins... still nothing so we left.

Please have a host or something, I heard another group of people made a reservation at 7:30 but waited till 8pm with still no table.

Definitely need to organize the hosting system because that was ridiculous.

It was way too loud and crowded but the food was pretty good and the service was amazing!

The BEST beef sashimi I’ve ever had!!!
And the best seafood pancake as well, remind me of my mom’s pancake. Really recommend
I will definitely come back to try more dishes!

I came here with a partner and not only did the staff serve us fast but they kept checking up on us at the perfect time. The prices maybe expensive but honestly you get what you pay for. Would come back again. I recommend coming here with family or for a date with friends or your significant other.

Incredible experience with this place, the food was very very good with amazing service. Our waiter checked up on us frequently and made sure we had water and side dishes. Would recommend this place to friends and family for an amazing dinner.

I was visiting Calgary from out of town and a few of our local friends suggested Namsan. We had a large group with us and Namsan went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was delicious, and the drinks were fantastic. Thank you, Namsan, for an amazing experience!

We have been regular customers and have generally enjoyed our experiences here. However, our recent order was disappointing.

We asked for our usual order, a large spicy stir-fried pork for takeout but received the small portion. My partner immediately brought the order back to the restaurant to have it corrected.

After eating the dish, we noticed that the portion was still smaller than what we had received before, plus there were no rice cakes. It felt like they simply transferred the same order into a larger box rather than providing the correct portion.

We then called to address the issue. The staff initially suggested that they might have forgotten to add rice cakes. My partner clarified that it was not just the rice cakes, but that the portion of meat itself was a lot smaller than usual.

This was disappointing and disrespectful. As regulars, we value honesty and good service, and unfortunately, this experience has caused us to lose trust in the restaurant. We will not be returning.

We go here atleast once a year for a big celebration and they never disappoint!

They are not just catering good food, they also cater great service!!!

It was our first time here and we were genuinely impressed. We’re so thankful for the amazing service — every staff member was warm, attentive, and welcoming. The food was incredibly tasty, and we were touched that they brought us extra dishes to try. Truly grateful for such a thoughtful experience. We’ll definitely be back!
