This eatery was very cozy and clean. It has a down home atmosphere. The food was meticulously prepared, healthy, and tasty. Stephanie was right there when you needed her and gave you super good service.
We have been going to Nellies for over 10 years now. It is a Calgary staple in the all day breakfast scene! The new owner is the previous chef as Jenny sold it over a year ago. French toast there is some of the best in the city. And the bacon, real good. The service a friendly quick and just downright excellent.
There were 4 of us crammed into a corner table and it was tight.
The menu is extensive with many things I might have liked to try.
I specifically ordered my eggs on my Benny med+. 3 bites in I discovered the were grossly undercooked. It was near impossible to get the attention of our server, so I set it aside and drank my water. She didn't tend to our table again until it was time to deliver the bill. No coffee or water refills, no inquiries as to how...
