We ordered the iceberg type salad with chicken which was amazing along with their pizza which was surprisingly a decent size. The server was great, very patient with us and we sat on the patio which made for a great experience.
New Camp has become our favorite place to meet friends for good food. Music isn't blaring so we can have great conversations!
Fish and chips was lousy. My fellow diner told the waitress that but there was no offer to lower the price or give us a bit off or something. Very noisy patrons beside us but it was a hockey game so that's life. I ordered the pizza special, very good but could only eat half. I asked for a takeaway container and was told they don't give them out for specials, too many people are doing that and taking their food and leaving. WHAT? So I got my pizza but had to pay full price. Stupidest thing I have ever heard. The specials are bringing in more people, but wouldn't want that, so let's make sure the only way they can bring their leftovers home is in their stomachs. Also, the waitress cleaned up the table really quickly, instead of asking whether we were done yet. If I had known about what my leftover pizza would cost me I would have put the leftover calamari and beef bits in that container, but she took them away so fast. I paid for those! Won't be back, I will wait until it changes hands again and they figure out how to improve the system a bit.
Food was good, we really liked the steak bites appetizer. Three of us ordered beet salad with varied addons and one didn't find her's had enough dressing on it. The service was attentive and great!
Tuesday is 1/2 price pizza & wine, so we go frequently. Last night we were informed that they were no longer giving boxes for any leftovers. When asked what they were doing with the leftovers, they said it goes in the garbage. Strange change of policy that leaves a sour feeling. This pub is a a great restaurant with wonderful staff.
We enjoyed our dinner at New Camp, which is now a restaurant rather than a pub. The menu is diverse and interesting, but we felt like fish and chips today. What a treat! Tasty beer-battered cod which was light and a very generous portion. In fact, two seniors could share one dish, especially if they have an appetizer. We found the wine and beer menu to have something for each of us and the desserts are also delicious sounding. The crème brûlée was good. We'll be back to New Camp to try some more of their tasty offerings.
Love the decor here! Went for dinner Sunday night so it was really quiet. Server was nice and the food was good. Our table had popcorn brussels, steak bites, salmon, burger and pizza. If you're in this area it's a nice place to go. What kept from 5 is our starters came with our mains and it was a little slow - I fiind that a little busier means the server is on the floor a bit more for quicker service. But I would definitely go here again!
It was great that the manager on Valentine's Day came to our table and wanted feedback on their stuffed chicken breast with broccolini and smashed potatoes. It was a new dish they're trying. When they asked how my meal was, I said that unfortunately it was over seasoned with salt. Showed the steak was peppered with salt. It was like an extra sprinkle of course salt was added over the cut steak. The roasted small potatoes were also overseasoned with salt. It seemed once everything was plated, they sprinkled course salt over the food. I told the manager that I was going to eat it because I was hungry. But no effort was made to compensate for the very salty meal. I was not impressed. Next time we go l, I'll avoid order their petite steak.
Drinks are fairly expensive, food was good, nice reno from what it was before, service was terrible ( really slow, had to chase the server down for our bills, 20+ mins between when she would come to the table), really loud place.
Enjoyable first visit for brunch. A nice selection of traditional breakfast items, along with a good variety of lunch items. It's a sports pub environment with central bar, comfortable seating at tables for 2-4. There were several families with younger children and the pricing was reasonable. Our server was pleasant and helpful in answering questions re: food sensitivities. I was glad to see that the VLTs were in a separate space, not visible from the main room. I plan to return soon to try the regular dinner menu.

First time in this restaurant. The food was very good, and the service attentive and professional. We enjoyed our lunch, and will definitely be back.
We really enjoyed our meal experience at New Camp. Food was delicious. Appreciated the gluten free bread which was substituted for garlic bread. Would definitely recommend and will return again.
Loves that they have gluten-free options and specials throughout the week. Half price wine night is awesome.
Had a business lunch here. Food was good and atmosphere was pleasant. Clean establishment with friendly staff.
Unfortunately this was our first time trying New Camp food and it was in my opinion not ediable. The steak bites were over cooked with little to no flavor not worth the price. The artichoke dip was greasy, salty and not good at all! Super disappointed with the food here.
