Excellent Breakfast, Great Value, and Friendly Service
I stopped in for breakfast at Newcastle Pub and was genuinely impressed — especially for the price.
The breakfast was delicious, hearty, and well prepared. Perfectly cooked eggs, flavorful sausage, crispy potatoes, and classic sides done right. Portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, and it was exactly what you want from a solid pub breakfast.
The customer service was excellent — friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being rushed. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, making it an easy place to enjoy a great meal.
If you’re looking for a great breakfast in Calgary at a very reasonable price, Newcastle Pub is absolutely worth a visit. I’d happily come back again.

Riley has been the bartender the last few times I came in for lunch. She's so thoughtful and kind! She also makes a great cosmopolitan. My few interactions with this pub have been fantastic! We’ve been regulars at New Castle Pub for years and the staff have always been excellent- attentive, friendly, and consistent.
Lately we’ve noticed some menu changes that are disappointing. The fries used to be a standout and unfortunately they’ve been changed and are disappointing. We also miss the pulled pork pizza and the original hashbrowns.
We still enjoy coming here and hope it doesn’t lose what made it a go-to spot for us. The staff continue to do a great job.

If you want a really nice little pub to go and have a meal, you should check out New Castle pub. Their food is great. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic and the even the music was not too loud. You could actually talk to each other over a beautiful meal. Thumbs up

Rylee was our server and we all had a great time. Service was prompt, friendly, and energetic. Will recommend to friends.
We had a positive experience overall: the Thursday Steak Sandwich special was enjoyable, and the half-price bottle of wine was a great value. We were satisfied with the quality and didn't mind the price point until we received the bill. Being charged $1.50 for a tiny shot of Frank's Hot Sauce is utterly ridiculous. This practice—nickel-and-diming customers for a standard condiment—soured the entire evening.

Went to the washroom, for less than 15 mins , other wings, and the server took my beer from the table. I then asked the server about my full beer in the table she said “ sorry I can give you another one” she seemed very annoyed when I asked her, as she tried to avoid me, but it’s not about the beer it’s about my experience at that place. Used to come for more than 4 years but I will never come back…

The food is basic pub fare but always done so well. I’ve never had a bad/ disappointing meal there. The service is always good, with friendly staff even when it’s busy. It’s comfy and consistent, probably my favorite pub in the area.

Been going here for a few years, as it’s in the area, and have never had a bad experience. Tonight was no exception; the food was great, the servers were wonderful and pleasant as always, and atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for. The perfect place to hang out with friends, get a good meal, and grab a few drinks. Love Newcastle!!
