Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

The experience at this restaurant was second to none, and Alexander wept for there were no more worlds to conquer. The greatest culinary minds in all of Calgary have gathered in one location for my meal. Jake, our server was consistently on point with my mango iced tea which was also magnificent. 10/10 would dine again.

I had Jacob K or as his friends like me let him call him, Jake. We walked into the Olive Garden and Jake navigated us through the menu with a righteous fury that ended with one of the best three course Italian meals I have ever had. Jake was there for me in my lowest moment, when I ran out of breadsticks, and resolved the situation immediately. I will be returning to this Olive Garden soon was truly delicious. We had such a great experience thanks to Jenna! She was incredibly quick, attentive, and always one step ahead of what we needed. Drinks topped up, food came out perfectly, and she checked in just the right amount without ever feeling intrusive. She was genuinely friendly and made the whole meal feel easy and enjoyable.

Definitely one of our comfort restaurants! So relaxing with an amazing atmosphere and yo too it off the staff is always so attentive, sweet and constantly checking up on you!

I also love it when I ask for recommendations and they give such detailed preferences and reviews it helps a lot!

I am very impressed with the staff at Olive Garden. I’m a recreation therapist and recently created a fun Lunch Club for our residents, where each month they choose a restaurant to order from. We wanted this to be the most delicious, enjoyable, and affordable experience for them.
From every phone call I made inquiring about the menu, to going in to prepay, to picking up the food—every staff member I interacted with was incredibly kind and helpful. It truly felt like they were just as invested in creating a great experience for our residents as I was. They even helped me carry all 33 orders out to my Jeep, which I appreciated so much.
The food was delicious. Our residents ordered from the lunch menu, and each person received their pasta of choice. The soup arrived hot, the salad was fresh, and the breadsticks were soft and fresh—absolutely adored by everyone! Even the chocolates were a lovely touch.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness, your willingness to work with me, and for helping give our residents a wonderful meal and a memorable experience.

First things first, I ordered a pan of Chicken Alfredo here for delivery and the person who delivered it was such in a hurry for me to pay and left right after - without checking the food she delivered. When I have opened the paper bag, the sauce of the Alfredo was spilled and the whole paper bag is messed up as well as the pasta and grilled chicken’s pans. Called in and they offered me to give three slices of cakes??? for the inconvenience… And a new sauce??? Our lunch time at work (with all the staff) is 12:00pm and they had to redo the sauce and delivered at 12:30pm! A week after, my kids wanted some breadsticks from Olive Gardens, so I ordered for pick up instead since I don’t want to wait longer just for a breadsticks. We came exactly on time, the server went to curb-side pick up to give us the breadstick. When I count it, there was only 18 pieces of breadsticks and I ordered 24 pcs. I told the server right away and she seems to be in a rush so she just told me that she’ll send me a gift card through MAIL. I asked for a refund but she said no, and insisted to send me a gift card. Since we had to leave, I said okay. A month later, I am still waiting for that gift card to be mailed to us. By the way, the server’s name is Vanessa.

Accuracy, speed, and service of the order is always a biggest mistake here.

What a let down! I reviewed Olive Garden 7 years ago and they got full 5 star review. This time was a much different story.

I informed the hostess twice that I was a good reviewer and looking forward to giving a great review. So they were aware they were being reviewed prior to my seating.

Let’s start with THE PROS, bread sticks and salad were excellent and served quickly.
Our waiter Jake was STELLAR as he was very attentive, patient, understanding and accommodating. Look at this young man for manager material.
The pasta was cooked perfectly and five-cheese marinara was outstanding!
The Italian and chicken gnocchi soups were divine.

THE CONS, I opened my menu and the last page of three just about fell off. Parts of the menu were ripped and unreadable. I requested a new one and this one had rips through the creased pages and a gouge at the top. Doesn’t Olive Garden replace damaged menus?
After being seated for 15 minutes I was texted that my wait list position had been cancelled as I had not responded in time, though I had confirmed my seating with the hostess…
We waited 35 minutes AFTER finishing our salads to get our pasta which was only warm not hot. The table of rowdy boys arrived 15 minutes after us and was served before us.
The mushroom cream sauce was extremely sweet, didn’t taste like mushrooms at all, and was bearly warm. The replacement dish had hardly any cream sauce, no taste and literally inedible!
The meat sauce, again too sweet, boasted of Italian sausage and braised beef which could not be tasted.
As the all you can eat Pasta Feast, we had to remind the various waiters that we had ordered protein as they forgot for one dish forgot and another gave bearly a half portion!
The Alfredo sauce was also bland. Of the 5 sauce options 3 were a complete fail!

My business guest and I agreed that a solid 3 out of 5 star rating was a very fair score. Better luck next time.
