One Night Stan's Bar Room & Divery

One Night Stan’s has the aesthetic of a dive bar, and the bar staff and servers are quite wonderful. The problem I’ve always encountered are the bouncers. Why a “dive bar” needs bouncers is beyond me, but numerous times the experience with the bouncers has been rude and problematic. Once I was with a group of people wearing Leafs jerseys, and they ignored us. Like, ignored. Last time I went by they just said “not going to happen” without an explanation and more than a modicum of smugness. Certainly wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking for a place in Calgary

Hands down the star porn shots I’ve ever had. If you don’t go to this bar when you’re in Calgary you’re dumb. Kyle is the best but so is all the staff.

Christina was so lovely and was such a great server, especially considering how chaotic my group was. She did an amazing job, was so kind and patient, and is one of the best servers I’ve ever had!

Came here for a going-away party for my manager at my own bar. We’re a busy bunch for sure and Christina was PHENOMENAL!! She is so welcoming and friendly. Never seemed frustrated or annoyed with my group, even though I know we were super annoying. I would come back again and again just to be served by her. If you come, ask for her, tip her well, and enjoy her energy. One Night Stan owners, make sure you treat her well, she’s the best!!

I've been there a few times. It's got tasty, simple bar food and fair drink prices but the sound system is always so loud it's very hard to have a conversation even when shouting

The service in here was horrible and Rory the manager told me there’s the door when I was asking for a server to order it is a loud place so you have to talk loud to hear anything. I was told by a server she was not our server and did not offer to find ours. I get it, it was busy but still should be providing good service if you want to make decent tips and I asked for a manager by the door staff and he had no problem telling me to use the door. Go someplace else where you will be sure to get the proper service you deserve. I won’t be good going back there as there are better places along 17th ave to go to.
