One of the most beautiful restaurants in yyc. We only stopped in for a quick drink since we were in our way to another commitment. We also ordered a few appetizers that were delicious to go eh our drinks. We will definitely come back to try dinner

Dined at Orchard for the first time last night. Ambiance is great and service was impeccable. I wish I could remember our servers name; she was lovely. I see the the most common complaint in the reviews is price, and yes I will admit, it is on the higher end, but for me it seemed worth it. Everything we ate was incredibly delicious and presented so beautifully. For two of us we ordered 3 small plates, 1 veg, and 1 large plate to share: cheese-stuffed garlic bread, the potato mochi, the crab and prawn arancini, the brussels sprouts, and one large plate, the arctic char. I've seen some people complain about the portion sizes but honestly I thought they were reasonable. Its exactly the portion size you would expect from a higher-end restaurant, if not maybe even a little more generous the some others. For two people the 5 plates I mentioned was more than enough!! we probably could have just done with 4 plates total (two small, one veg, and a large) but I just had to try the arancini (which were amazing, so I'm glad I did). And despite being stuffed, we still ordered dessert, the Rocher Chocolate Cake. Which albeit was tiny, but since we were so full, I actually appreciated it being just a small bite. For all of those items, plus one glass of red wine, and one glass of in-house iced tea, the total came to ~$140. So take that for what it is. For a lot of people spending $70 per person for dinner might be too expensive, but I think we had a fair amount of food, which was of good quality and taste, for that price; plus its only marginally more than most eating-out nowadays.
Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is flat to ground level. There are no stairs or ramps. A wheelchair user would be able to drive directly up to the door, and I believe you could move around the restaurant with relative ease. Having said that, I am not a wheelchair user so I couldn't say for sure. I'm only basing it on the fact that I did not notice any obvious obstructions, and the tables/chairs seemed placed a fair distance apart so there's room to move around.

Nice place, ambience and service. Just low stars cause I found they’re charging for 15oz pints of beer yet serving 11oz. When I told them, they said their beer glasses are at least 15oz.
Post edit - 15oz glasses can’t hold 15oz of beer with head. They need to up their beer glass sizes to meet Canadian business standard.

Came here to celebrate my 30th birthday with my partner over the weekend. Our server, Bella, was excellent! They were attentive and personable, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Also the tofu katsu was the best tofu I've ever had! We look forward to returning to Orchard in the future. Thank you, Bella!

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Orchard, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The restaurant itself is undeniably cute and romantic, making it a perfect spot for a special evening out. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and charming decor that added to the overall charm.
But the real star of the night was the food. Every dish we tried was a culinary masterpiece, but the beef carpaccio truly stole the show. It was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. The thinly sliced beef was incredibly tender, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Each bite was a taste sensation that left me wanting more.
Overall, Orchard is a gem of a restaurant that offers both a cozy, romantic atmosphere and outstanding food.
