It's a place to eat. Good food. Ok service. It was convenient location. Wouldn't travel across town for it, but I'd go again

You should take a hint from the name of this place: Original Joe's Restaurant & BAR. If you want to have a 'BAR' experience and are okay with sticking to burgers, I'm sure this place would be okay, but I took my kids here one night and the food was highly mediocre (my own dish, the Spicy Shanghai Noodle Bowl, was a greasy, tasteless atrocity). The service was friendly and helpful, but a bit on the slow side. The dining room / bar has a starkly dark modern vibe, so lacking much if any sense of comfort or fun if you're looking for a place to take the family...

This is probably my 1 year olds favorite restaurant ? he loves the grilled cheese from the kids menu and the staff is always very welcoming, accomodating and friendly to him which we greatly appreciate.

On the adult side the food and drinks are always top notch and as I mentioned the servers are always wonderful. I recently noticed they made the patio dog friendly so looking forward to bringing our pup here as well.

Kaylee is amazing, went in with my family and had a fabulous time, definitely one of the better original joes! Love the kona burger! Thanks!

A little noisy (hard to talk) but the tomato soup and west coast salad were absolutely delicious. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. Will definitely go again!

Food was ok. The chipotle dip for the sweet potato fries was not very chipotle. The burgers and sandwiches lacked flavor. Service and refills were slow as well.

First time coming to this location. Ordered wings and they came out cremated. The server was nice to get us another batch. Took forever for both sets of wings each time. Server said the kitchen noticed the overcooked wings so why were they sent out. Severs attitudes were also not very friendly. Very disappointing for a simple wing night.

So....I love OJ's. I go to so many locations and it's the number one place I pick when eating out.

Unfortunately, every time I've eaten at this location I've had some kind of off interaction with my meal. I've had one sweet waitress, who I didn't note down the name but it was a rare occurrence. My food has often come slightly off compared to other locations, either a bit dry or burnt or weird sauces. Sometimes the whole order mixed up entirely. I have resorted to going to other OJ locations entirely to get my favorite foods.

There was a specific situation where I ordered brussel sprouts. They came very burnt on the outside and a crunchy to the point of raw on the inside. I got my mom to try them as well to ensure it wasn't just me. I have a hard time complaining to staff, so I was very quiet when explaining that I would like to send it back after attempting to swallow a few pieces. The manager rolled her eyes at me and told me that it was "normal" for the Brussel sprouts to be crunchy and raw on the inside and the outside to be burnt/scorched. I got a lot of flak with attitude and my mom was a bit appalled. Coming from someone that eats this dish a lot, it was confusing to say the least. It made me nervous to order it again from fear of that being their regular dish.

My mom has ordered a gluten free burger (specifying with the waiter and reassured that it's free of gluten) from them over 3 times before and getting so sick when we get home. She always assumed that it was something she ate earlier in the day since the waitress had been so specific. We go back another time and one waiter finally let's us know that the teriyaki sauce on the burger is NOT gluten-free and we can substitute it for something else.

I've had so many difficult experiences with this location, having hope every time it will be a bit better, and I really hope there can be some changes. I'd love to enjoy my time here as much as I do at other locations.

Portions now are considerably smaller and the mini Yorkies are little crumbs of roast beef that resemble hamburger. I sent the 17.00 appie back and they took it off my bill. Wow! I didn't eat it, why wouldn't you. Sadly, this could be a neighborhood gem. Food will not live up to that gem part.
