Honestly I did expect more from this place, the beer on tap was kinda flat, the triple IPA was honestly not very good and the black lager just mediocre, the BBQ platter wasn't too bad but I definitely had better.
Our group of 6 had a great lunch at Paddy's. We enjoyed pulled chicken sandwiches and others in the group had the brisket, smoked chicken wings, and side Kale Salad. Being dry January for us, we didn't get to try the beer, but those in the group that did enjoyed it. Enjoyed a chat with the owner and his wife. It was a great experience - we'll be back!
Visiting from the UK, our BW hotel recommended Paddy’s as a popular place selling great food. They were not wrong! For starters, the restaurant was literally a few mins walk (in the snow), from the hotel. The service was excellent and the staff were happy to explain local traditions to us Brits :). I had a glass of cider and hubby had a tasting flight followed by a barrel-aged stout which he says was LOVELY. The brisket and the pulled pork sandwiches were superb! The complimentary chocolate pecan tart was a nice surprise too. We thoroughly recommend this place if you’re ever in Calgary. Thanks guys!
Fantastic food and prices and the beer! ?So good! We did the half a family dinner plus 2 rolls for 4 adults and it filled us up. Next time I'll just get the brisket to myself though because it was the best part, but everything was good. Service was great and friendly. The beer is great too! Take some to go.
Great location, just outside of the downtown core, and a stones throw off Macleod Tr. Simple inside layout, walk up and order drinks at one counter, food at the other. Drop your credit card for a tab at the bar.We got lucky, and arrived 15 minutes prior to happy hour ending (Happy Hour - 2-5). $4 sleeves and $8 snacks! We both ordered the Vienna, which was fantastic, could have drank 3 or 4!Also, to share, we ordered a brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, 3 tacos and a brisket poutine.Came with the 3 sauces - the mesquite was my favorite. The food was 5 star worthy, and id probably even pay a little more for this quality. The sauce wasn't even necessary, just an added taste once we had some without. The staff were friendly and helpful especially when narrowing down a wall of beers!I've attached a few photos of our food and the inside. We will be returning, highly recommend a stop for BBQ and beer lovers.
This place is absolutely wonderful! We ordered the brisket and smoked wings. Food came out within 5 minutes and tasted wonderful. The sauces that came with were so tasty. We also received a complimentary chocolate tart each, which was also amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean with nice ambience. If I could pick out one thing that I didn't like, it's that you can only get the wings on Saturdays. Those wings are so good I wish I could go get some right now. Well done my friends, I can't wait to return.
We got the family feast and after a good session at the gym, it was a delicious amount of protein. The brisket is top tier. I'm excited to go back and support these wonderful folks. This time around, we did not indulge in the beer, but we will definitely be back. Thanks guys for the wonderful food!
Your smoked pork ribs and dill potato salad were delicious! I highly recommend the Black Lager too! ?
The food has always been great, but they have now upped their beer game. More in-house brews. I do miss the Olds college tap that they used to do.
We had my birthday dinner tonight at Paddy’s and it was great! We had the half feast consisting of brisket, ribs and sausage, we had potato salad, coleslaw and fries for our sides. There were 3 of us and we were all full. It was our first time there but it won’t be our last, the bark on the brisket was impressive, the taste was exceptional, the mixture of spices and meat in the sausage was absolutely delicious, I was a little disappointed there was no cornbread, but otherwise everything else was great.I would highly recommend Paddy’s to anyone looking for a good place for Barbecue.

A local treasure, a second home. Great family staff atmosphere. Tasty brews, mouth watering menu. Try the Brisket Ramen and Juicy IPA. Out of this world!
One of the best BBQ joints in town. A bit hard to get too but well worth the effort. The food is melt in your mouth delicious and I would highly recommend every item on the menu, the brisket being the highlight of the affair. Not to mention the incredible beer and homemade drinks. I would highly recommend the beary patch and the juicy IPA for a great night.
Irish bbq place?!? I know I know, but GO! It's great! I ordered the pork belly ramen and it was delish; tons of meat in it and the egg was perfectly cooked. They had a great sour beer on tap, too.
If you’re looking for good beer and BBQ, you can stop searching and just come here. Actually, no. First go to every single BBQ joint and beer house in Calgary and make this your last stop. I only say that so you’ll know for certain that this is the absolute best. I’ve eaten a ton of BBQ from the southern US to all over Canada and I gotta say…these folks know what they’re doing. The brisket is the best I’ve ever had.Bar none.Hands down. The best. The sauces are all house made and the bbq beans are noteworthy in and of themselves. The ribs are gigantic and the pulled pork is tangy and not overdressed. And if you have folks in your party that aren’t a fan of beer, fear not. They have a root beer tap that is worth the trip alone. I honestly can’t sing this BBQ enough praises. Go to Paddy’s, try everything and thank me later. This is one place you won’t want to miss.
We had a platter with various meats, sides and dips. The winner is the brisket, the rub on the rib was quite salty, and the chicken was nice too. I will skip the mac'n cheese next time, but the coleslaw is definitely good. California dip took my heart. I just loved it. Friendly and nice staff. Beers are good too. So overall this is a good place.
