Went to Pat and Betty for the first time for mine and my wife's anniversary and we were blown away. Chef Pigot and his team have created and exicute a fantastic menu with too many choices to try in one go. We had the Humboldt squid, beef tartare, shrimp tagliatelle and the pork belly and scallops and loved everything. We may have overdone it so didn't have room for dessert, but we'll start with that next time. We were served by Taylor, and she was absolutely amazing! We ordered everything all at once and she timed out our evening to perfection, course by course and we never wanted for anything, wine and water always full and she anticipated our needs throughout the evening. Thank you all for making our anniversary a memorable one, can't wait to come back!
All the best,
Mike and Whitney

Overall way too pricey for the quality of food we ate, left pretty disappointed. Ordered the squid and beef tartare. Squid dish was very weird, squid was cooked to be chewy, and there were chunks of beef mixed in as well? Beef tartare was fine but nothing special, the garlic bread was a standard white bread, tasted ok. Bartenders wine recommendation was great though.

As a couple who moved out of Calgary in 2022, we were excited to try this “new” place in the city. We sat at the bar, which was welcoming and had exceptional service. The cocktail menu was short but the bartender was very creative and gave great advice on drinks. The menu was “small” but impactful- exactly how you want it! We ordered the anchovy toast and tartare to start, then followed up with the salmon, rigatoni, and asparagus for our mains. We followed it up with the carrot cake for dessert. We started our meal with an oyster and cavier each which was the perfect start- highly recommend! The tartare was great- probably a wonderful “first time” tartare for some as the waitress encouraged us to mix everything together with the fat-based sauce/aioli on the bottom. As a tartare lover, I actually felt missing it was too fat-heavy and you lost the beef within the strong flavours of the garnishes and the fat. However, it was still a wonderful tartare! The anchovy toast was good, and probably a wonderful experience for someone who has never had it. I think we were expecting something similar to anchovy toast we had had before and it was not similar and didn’t deliver the umami punch as expected. But there was freshness and flavour in the dish which made it easy to eat. The salmon was delicious, cooked rare-medium rare as a heads up for non seafood-lovers. The pistachios and edamame were a beautiful pairing. The rigatoni was probably my favorite dish of the night- it has a wonderful depth of flavour and was rich without being heavy. Asparagus was also delicious with the mushrooms and buerre blanc. Carrot cake to end was good- very classic, not sweet, and leaned heavily on the warm spices it should. The carrot cake caramel on the bottom was to die for! Overall the ambience, service, and food was 10/10 and we will be back!

Pat and Betty’s has that perfect mix of stylish and chill. The atmosphere is welcoming and well-designed — ideal for anything from date night to drinks with friends.
The food was good across the board. You can tell there’s care and creativity behind the menu, and while nothing completely blew me away, the flavors were solid and satisfying. The cocktails, though? Definitely a highlight — well-balanced, bold, and really well done.
Service was great too. Friendly staff who know the menu and genuinely want you to have a good time. It made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.
Overall, Pat and Betty’s is a cool Calgary spot that delivers good food, great drinks, and a vibe that makes you want to come back. Definitely worth checking out!

Our very first time at Pat & Betty’s, it was so great. We had the best service, the food was very wonderful- and as described on the menu, our server was so sweet and on the ball.
We had the anchovy toast, pork belly and scallops & my husband had to have the thickest piece of carrot cake- so great!!!
Great date night ♥️

Overall, a pretty decent dining experience. We ordered the Chicken, the Cabbage and the Lemon Square for dessert. The Cabbage, was pretty good if slightly on the salty side. The Chicken was very flavourful with the feta, but was a tad dry. The Lemon Square was nice, but wasn't quite lemony enough and was a little too sweet.

Stopped in for drinks and snacks before heading to the Stampede. The atmosphere was lively, visually appealing, and inviting. While the menu doesn’t list allergens, our server was exceptionally knowledgeable and accommodating when I informed of my Celiac disease and tree-nut/peanut allergy. She walked me through the menu and highlighted several safe options which were more than just the usual limited choices.
We shared the Humboldt Squid, which was incredibly tender and well-balanced; a standout dish that impressed the whole table. I also enjoyed the Fingerling Potatoes and Beef Tartare, which was served with gluten-free potato chips, while the sourdough was plated separately for my partner.
I especially appreciated that when my dishes arrived, the food runner clearly confirmed they were gluten- and nut-free, a small but important detail that provided added reassurance.
Lovely spot, will be back when I visit Calgary again.

Food was actually good but nothing spectular as we had several plates between 5 of us. Carrot cake was actually good. They changed their menu and its hard to see this on social media as most of the dishes are no longer available. The biggest drawback is the service. Friendly but ZERO clue on how to deal with table and engage with the diners. The servers are not trained and the Bartender couldnt make a simply cocktail. The only person who did their job correctly was the food runner. All the servers did was push dishes and cocktails with no recommendation. Sometimes they would bring drinks having no clue what it was. How do you expect the guests to know what beverage is for whom. The worst part as we had many dishes, we could have used fresh side plates and they were clearing my side silverware when I was still eating. As mentioned, food was good and good for sharing but you need to execute proper dining service.
