We had a beautiful charcuterie board from Peasant, with a great cheese selection for a wine night!

Fantastic cheese shop! They were so friendly and patient with all of our questions. It was wonderful to learn a bit more about the cheese making process and differences between different kinds of cheeses. We ended up with 3 cheeses and 4 cured meats of extremely high quality at reasonable prices and are excited to have a cheese & charcuterie (not just charcuterie) night!

I’m new to yyc and was excited to try this cheese shop that’s walking distance from my house. Went in on a whim Saturday evening to inquire about charcuterie boards, and if you can place a last minute order. The woman who helped us was extremely condescending and rude. How difficult is it to just be polite?? The cheese and meat were good quality, but unfortunately our negative interaction with this person means we won’t bother coming back. Inflated prices and inflated egos. Very disappointed.

Wow!! I ordered a charcuterie for 2 people and here it is!! Amazing! Five cheeses, assortment of meats and all kinds of pickles and olives!! A really nice selection of crackers too! They even put it on a wooden tray! What a class act!! For your next get-together, skip buying a nice bottle of wine and take one of these! Super delightful staff too! Nice job Peasant Cheese Shop! I will be back!

Peasant Cheese Kensington is a true haven for cheese lovers in Calgary. This charming shop showcases an exquisite selection of international cheeses, expertly curated by knowledgeable and passionate staff. We recently ordered the 10-12 Charcuterie board with four cheeses for Christmas Eve, and it was a resounding success for our gathering of 6 adults and 4 children. The quality of the cheeses and accompaniments was exceptional, making it a memorable part of our holiday celebration.

Dropped by 10 mins before closing and the staff working was kind enough to help me find the right cheddar cheese. Didn’t get to sample much but what I did was delicious!

Best in the city!! Such a remarkable spot! Excellent value vs amazing ingredients.

I have had great experiences in the past with peasant but my recent one was disappointing. My "Everything" sandwich was missing half the ingredients that were advertised in the menu

Came here for the sandwiches. Was not disappointed. Every ingredient, from the bread to the meat was fresh and of the highest quality. The gentleman working also even gave me a tour of some of their cheeses and was extremely helpful. Would recommend this place to others

Absolutely a gem of a cheese store!! Customer service is excellent and the cheese selection is divine! I drive down from Edmonton just to load up on cheese. Highly recommend their Le Campagnier and Taleggio cheeses!

I've been ordering cheese and charcuterie boards from Peasant Cheese for many years, but they outdid themselves for a Celebration of Life I recently organized. The boards were outstanding with complementary dried fruit, olives etc. and they prepared a large assortment of sandwiches beyond the usual (and tasty) deli sandwiches. Wonderful presentation and incredibly reasonable! Special thanks to Michelle and Crystal who spare me the worries about details and I can trust to make all the right choices. Highly recommended.
