Peasant Cheese Kensington

We ordered a couple of charcuterie boards online but neglected to complete the order (our fault). When I arrived to pick them up, the staff were very accommodating. Despite it being quite a busy time for them, the staff quickly put together some delicious and attractive boards for us with a lovey variety of high quality meat and cheese. We highly recommend Peasant Cheese.

Go see Michelle. Ask her many questions about cheese. Be impressed by the fromage knowledge. Buy many tasty things. Thank me later.

We’ve enjoyed many charcuterie boards over the years and were excited to try this one for New Year’s Eve, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. The cheese and (olive looking things) had visible mold, the pickled items had an off smell and taste, and most of the dried fruit was sour. Given the $150 price point, this felt like a waste and not the quality we expected.

Fantastic cheese shop! They were so friendly and patient with all of our questions. It was wonderful to learn a bit more about the cheese making process and differences between different kinds of cheeses. We ended up with 3 cheeses and 4 cured meats of extremely high quality at reasonable prices and are excited to have a cheese & charcuterie (not just charcuterie) night!

I’m new to yyc and was excited to try this cheese shop that’s walking distance from my house. Went in on a whim Saturday evening to inquire about charcuterie boards, and if you can place a last minute order. The woman who helped us was extremely condescending and rude. How difficult is it to just be polite?? The cheese and meat were good quality, but unfortunately our negative interaction with this person means we won’t bother coming back. Inflated prices and inflated egos. Very disappointed.
