Tom yum fried noodle is creamy tasty, with a lot of big prawn, grill pork is one of the best I have in Calgary. Simple, nice and cosy place. Friendly service.

The shaking beef is just stir fried thin beef instead of the steak they advertise it as.
Got the shaking beef and expected some nice grilled steak bites like the menu and pictures suggested so I was disappointed when I saw thin small flanks. Some of the pieces were the size of a pea.
Service was pretty good and the overall taste of the dish was okay but in the end it just felt like stir fried beef so it feels like I got cheaped out on. I'd try other things on the menu but I wouldn't suggest the shaking beef to anyone.

The staff were so friendly! Since the weather was so cold, she gave me a cup of hot water to warm my hands and stomach, even though my order was to-go. So thoughtful! I tried one of their snacks, and it was great—I’ll definitely dine in next time!

I previously had a 5 star review of Nuong, I’ve since removed it. We would come a few times a month and it was our go to place for vermicelli bowls.
Nuong seems to have come under new ownership recently, and it has affected the business negatively. Nuong and the wonderful lady who used to work there used to provide good portion size for the price. Today I paid $22 for this combo. The photo is what I received today, which had a tiny portion of three meats, and a tiny portion of bun (noodles). It’s like a children’s sized meal, prepared with the same ingredients - just 50% the size.
It’s safe to say that we will not be returning to Nuong, sadly :( we will miss the lady who previously worked here.
Edit for consumers: I added a photo of the OLD portions with the fish sauce container removed. You can simply see the significant difference in amount of meat, and noodles. Again, would not recommend!
