Hands down my favorite Beef Pho in the city!

The service was warm and welcoming, and the staff made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. I also appreciated the clean, cozy ambiance, simple but inviting, just like a true Vietnamese kitchen.

I very much enjoyed the food. I had the Beef rib pho. My husband had the Bone Marrow with Oxtail Pho. I gave it 5 stars because the broth is second to none in Calgary and may be comparable to the real good Pho restaurants in Seattle, LA, and Vietnam. However, the chef needs to understand that oxtail needs to be cooked longer. It must be fall off the bone to indicate you know how to cook ox tail. The beef balls are not soft enough so please work on that. Otherwise, excellent. Mimosa and coffee were excellent.

The worst part of our experience is the customer service. I think Pho An A could be significantly more popular and successful if they train their staff better. The servers do not look around as they serve, costing them time to have to return back multiple times and missing out on opportunities to demonstrate exceptional customer service. The wait to order, to get food, to ask for extra things, to ask for another Mimosa that required a 30 minute wait to get, and the communication skills of the staff was a complete turn off. The staff behind the bar should look around and walk around and talk to customers and help out.

I would recommend this restaurant but please make sure you come with a lot of patience. And perhaps, the staff may need teaching moments in order to improve if the owner does not do anything to improve. Otherwise, the truth is, poor customer service can make for a poor food experience and may not be worth it.

I will visit again in a month and will write another review if there is any improvement. I will be looking for improved cooking skills from the chef with the oxtail and improved customer service. I am really hoping to write an amazing review next time. Pho An An, I am vouching for you because truly, your broth moved my soul.

Thank you.

I am making this place my new favorite Phò restaurant!!! When we went, there was no music playing, so the silence was a bit weird, but the food was absolutely delicious!!! They were able to easily accommodate our groups' gluten-free AND vegan restrictions. (And made sure to bring things separately)

The place was great! The waiter was very nice and the atmosphere here is very cozy. Food was fantastic, I had the #48 and my girlfriend has #55, both were delicious. Will absolutely recommend this place to people that are looking for something to eat in the area.

This is the worst of all the Vietnamese restaurant I ever been. I ordered chicken wings that's like stale and taste funny. And egg noodle soup with the tiniest meats and tiniest portion I ever had. I complained to the server or owner and he just laughed about it. Don't ever go to this place as its a waste of your money.

Very true authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Just what you're looking for. I recommend the crispy dumplings and bubble tea. I especially loved the bright orange chopsticks.

Trash Vietnamese food. Beef sate sub had soggy mushy old cucumbers and “beef sate” that tasted like boiled unseasoned mystery meat, also had some kind of fishy taste, and not a pleasant one. Threw it away after 2 bites, upset I wasted any $$$ here

Very slow food service.
Food taste is subpar compared to other vietnamese restaurants nearby.
Ambiance is great, washroom is clean.

The portion size is too small for the price, and the food is expensive. The meat and vegetables are not rotated, so they seem old. The meat is tough and dry. It also takes a long time for the food to come out, especially considering it’s pho. Listen carefully to the feedback from many customers, or else the restaurant will never get busy.

I wasted money.

This place was really good, I got the Chicken Pho and it was very flavourful with lots of extra chili’s and bean sprouts for your food. I really recommend this place and hope more people come to eat here
