The pho broth is amazing, and wherever I come here I can always taste the aromatics and it's such a step up from other places.
On the other hand, the banh mi is okay. The bread was a little hard. The taste was still good though
Staff were very friendly and service was fast. I only wish they were open a little bit longer

My wife and I have been visiting Pho Anh in Crowfoot for many years. We love the food and the all staff. They are always so friendly and so accommodating. We normally try to get in for a visit once or twice every month. We love their menu and they updated on a fairly regular basis. Which is always great. The food is always fresh and they don’t mind when we make a few changes to their menu to accommodate our tastes. It is an Awesome family run restaurant.

Have been coming here off and on for many years. Their broth is made in house and is likely the best you will ever taste. Subs are massive and highly flavoured. Enjoy

The food was really amazing!
I come here regularly and love their pho. The peanut date is especially great and is creamy which I prefer. Staff is lovely, environment in the restaurant is calm, and the music is always great.
We’ve been coming to Pho Anh since around March, and it’s truly one of our favorite places in Calgary. The food is consistently amazing, the atmosphere gets more beautiful every month, and the staff are incredibly kind, polite and welcoming. You genuinely feel the warmth and care they put into this place.
A few months ago they added two betta fish in beautifully arranged bowls with live plants. My husband and I loved seeing them — they were active, curious, and always responsive. And just to be factual:
Betta fish recognize familiar faces, respond to gentle movement, and thrive in calm, low-stress environments with live plants.
This isn’t an opinion — it’s basic biology of the species.
Today I noticed the fish were gone because of a complaint, and I’d like to address that respectfully but clearly:
There was no animal-welfare issue here.
The bowls were clean, the water was clear, the plants were real, and no one handled or bothered the fish. This setup is fully appropriate for bettas and actually supports their natural behavior.
And realistically, countless restaurants, cafés and hotels around the world include aquariums and live plants — both are living beings, and calm observation of them is not considered harm.
Interaction in a peaceful environment doesn’t damage a fish or a plant. Using “existence in a public space” as a measure of cruelty simply doesn’t align with how animal welfare is defined.
Ironically, the complaint didn’t protect the fish — it removed them from a calm environment where they had daily gentle stimulation, and now they spend most of the day alone at home. That is actually less healthy for a betta.
We truly love this restaurant and the wonderful team working here, and we’ll continue to support them. They deserve kindness — not misplaced criticism.

Love the food! More specifically the Number 17 two protein option for vermicelli! Aside from that, the peanut noodle soup is also delicious and my fiancé is obsessed with it. Most affordable regarding their soups and vermicelli compared to the other 5 Vietnamese locations I've visited. Regarding their other dishes however it is a bit pricier, however the ingredients and sauce options are far fresher and have blended into their appropriate meals perfectly! 10/10 strongly recommend!

Really great food without the crazy prices. I'd pick this spot over most places around here, no question.
Nice and quiet, not packed shoulder to shoulder like some other restaurants in the area.
You can enjoy your meal in peace without folks eyeballing your plate.
