I recently tried the #13 beef noodle soup at this amazing spot, and it was absolutely delicious! The broth was rich and flavorful, perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spices. The beef was tender and melted in my mouth, and the noodles had the perfect chewiness. Every spoonful was a delight!

What really stood out was the service. The employees were incredibly helpful and friendly, making sure I had everything I needed. They offered great recommendations and were attentive without being intrusive. It made the dining experience even more enjoyable. If you’re in the mood for some comforting beef noodle soup, I highly recommend trying the #13 here! You won’t be disappointed!

Ordered last week. My partner and I both had pho and a sub. About 4 hours later we were both violently ill. It’s unfortunate as we order pho a lot but something tasted off and we didnt think anything of it until later. $70 later we were both sick.

I don’t think I’ve ever been in such a filthy restaurant ever before. Food was so bad.
Waiter was very impatient, and when I told him to give me 4 min to actually look at the mani he got mad. (Mind you it wasn’t even busy)

I've always loved Pho Express, from when I lived in Lakeview ten years ago, to today when I live within walking distance. Great food and great staff. Thank you!

Terrible value for money. Ordered vermicelli dish with beef, shrimp and springrolls. Recieved a bowl of vermicelli with about a tablespoon of beef, 3 small shrimp and 2 springrolls. Cost $16.00. If you don't want to put beef and shrimp on a dish then don't but don't charge me for it when you are just ticking boxes that you technically served me a dish containing beef and shrimp but you were extremely cheap about it. I won't be back and I will tell everyone I know to stay away. Congratulations on ripping me off, you lose because I will never come back. This is the worst Vietnamese restaurant I have eaten at in Calgary. McDonald's is a better value.

Pho at this location is excellent. I've been trying out Pho places around town and this is one of the best I can find.

We have been coming here for over 10 years, and have had several different dishes. All are delicious. I find the staff very friendly and also quite accommodating. They feel like family to us. Thank you Pho Express for your excellent service.

I ordered the Satay Beef soup on an overcast day at lunch in the otherwise empty restaurant. The food came extremely quickly and was accompanied by a small plate of bean sprouts, some basil leaves, and a small wedge of lime. Overall, the restaurant seemed quite clean, and although it wasn't particularly well lit, there was more than enough light to see clearly. The service was very fast, efficient and quietly professional. I paid $15 plus GST and tip. Some specific notes:Food: I found the soup to be bland like some other reviewers also have, but that's not a bad thing. It might represent a home-style version of pho or it might be the chef's interpretation, or it might be highlighting the overuse of salt and sugar in other versions. I just added some hot sauce and a splash of soya from the bottles on the table to kick it up a bit. The bean sprouts were fresh, crispy and cool while the basil was also clean and fresh, and the lime portion (while small) was juicy and lent just the right citrus tang to the dish.Service: During my visit, an older Caucasian man arrived and made some vaguely rude comments bordering on racist, which were handled with gentle professionalism by the wait staff. Kudos to you for your patience and kindness towards foolish and poorly mannered patrons.Portion size: while I don't have any objective proof of this, I found the portion size to be a bit larger than some other places, so size-for-your-buck is pretty good.Overall, while it won't change your life or the way you look at food, it's a solid meal for a decent price with above average service. Would recommend.
