I would leave 0 stars if I could. To start off, the service is horrible. When we order in store, the servers look very uninterested, and act annoyed to serve the customers. When ordering pickup, it took over 10 minutes to get 2 simple orders down; the person who picked up was too busy talking about irrelevant things to understand our order. Adding on, they got our online order wrong multiple times over the course of a few months such as switching sate and normal broth, or excluding the sauce in the vermicelli all together. When we called to just simply ask about the wrong item, they began to yell over the phone, and then hung up without listening to anything what we had to say.
I really don't like to talk about the quality of food, especially local restaurants. However, the amount of beef in the pho was very small, to the point where there were only noodles left after a couple bites. Additionally, there was rotten cilantro and vegetables that were obviously dumped and reused multiple times in the broth, making the overall dish uneatable. The freshness makes the overall hygiene of the food questionable.
Overall, you get what you pay for. This place has relatively cheap prices, and you get cheap service and food. There are better pho places in the area, and especially in NW Calgary, so if you can, avoid this location. Bad service, small portions, cheap.
Beef sate was average and had a lot of chili oil in it and not as rich and flavourful as some other places
Very rude service better Vietnamese food elsewhere and not far away
Small shop in the neighborhood. Had the beef, flank, and tripe pho. The amount of meat is very low and it came with only 3 pieces of tripe in total. Broth was pretty clean but not as flavorful as I'd like. The shrimp and pork salad rolls was good however and it came with a peanut dipping sauce.
small portion for the price paid.
Very flavourful food and the service is incredible!! I highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t been here before. 😋💗
Love their recipe’s!! Authentic!
Best in town
I was really disappointed with the Vietnamese noodles. The noodles were all broken into small pieces, which means the noodles are not freshly cooked. On top of that, the overall flavor was lacking — it tasted quite bland and didn’t live up to my expectations. I probably won’t be coming back.
One of the best pho places in the city, if not THE best! I always come here with my family, who all love the atmosphere and environment here. The owner is very nice as he knows us by name since we visit frequently. Also, if it’s your birthday when you visit, or if you have little children with you, the owner give you a free cookie, or whatever little dessert.
Number 30 is my favourite order, having all the types of meat i like in my pho. I took my girlfriend here last week and she said the vermicelli was exceptionally delicious.
All in all, Pho Sate is a very tasty pho spot in Calgary, with a nice vibe and extremely friendly service!!!!! Would recommend coming back every single day.

We visited Pho Sate as somewhere new to try out of our usual rotation of Vietnamese restaurants in the NE/SE of Calgary.
It's located in the community of Nolan Hill in the northwest of Calgary. There was lots of parking available at the surrounding outdoor mall complex, and we were able to get a spot right in front of the entrance.
Upon entering, we were immediately impressed by the cleanliness and general friendly ambiance of the restaurant. We also love when Vietnamese music is playing while we eat our pho.
We were the only patrons in the restaurant on a weekend, which was surprising but did not deter us.
They have a wide range of available dishes, but we opted for our usual suspects - tea, spring rolls, house special pho and beef & beef ball pho, with peanut sate sauce added to both.
The spring rolls came out right away, and were hot and fresh. They had a perfect balance of all ingredients, and were not at all greasy. The flavour was great, and they were very crispy. It was a great start to the meal, and I would definitely order these again - 5/5 recommend.
The pho also arrived soon after, with a beautiful traditional, spicy aroma. We did a taste test before adding sriracha, and found that it was already perfect (very spicy) without needing to add any additional sriracha. There was a generous amount of beef, broth, bean sprouts, basil and limes, and the noodles were plentiful and nicely al dente.
My main critique of the soup is that we found it to be very greasy due to the peanut sate, so much so that I could not finish the broth for this reason. Greasing aside, the flavour itself was excellent.
If I was in the area again, I would not hesitate to stop for lunch. Good pho can be hard to find outside of NE Calgary, and this is a great, authentic and local option for people in the community.
Food was not as good as I would expect.
The prices were mid.
And the service was slightly less than I would expect from normal Vietnamese.
I would not recommend coming here.
I live in British Columbia and come 'Out of my way' to this specific place for Pho!! Hands down the best Soup you'll ever have!! Even the service is the best!
Perfect level of spiciness for someone that loves spice!
So flavorful! I miss coming here all the time! No cap!
