This is our go to Vietnamese place because the food has always excelled our expectations. However, the service is absolutely terrible ! Tables who come in after us, gets greeted first . We sat here over an hour waiting for water refills and no one came by unless we ask. I know this is a family business, but maybe they should consider hiring someone who isn’t as young as they are.

I ordered the vermicelli and a noodle soup — two of the most basic staples at any Vietnamese restaurant. And yet somehow, this place managed to butcher both.
The vermicelli was a sad, soggy mess. Lukewarm, flavorless, and served with what I can only assume were day-old spring rolls cut into chunks. The meat was dry and chewy, and the fish sauce tasted like it came from a dusty bottle that hadn't seen daylight in years.
The noodle soup? If you can even call it that. The broth was bland, greasy, and had all the depth of warm dishwater. The noodles were overcooked to the point of falling apart, and the meat was tough and suspiciously gray. Not a single fresh herb or sprig of cilantro in sight — just a limp handful of bean sprouts and a wedge of lime that looked like it had been pre-squeezed by someone else.
The service didn’t help. Uninterested staff, long wait times, and they got my order wrong the first time anyway.
At least there was a reasonably amount of vermecelli noodles
Save your time, your money, and your appetite. This place isn’t just bad for Vietnamese food

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years, originally they were just off of center street! The best husband and wife duo for years!!! Always remember your face always so happy to see you! It’s an experience in itself. Now here’s something you need to know about this family, they are one of the best groups you will ever meet!!! Kindest and nostalgic genuine people around! Authentic Vietnamese food made right from scratch! After some recent health complication the owners nephew stepped up to take over and continue on the legacy! This family is always in here working so hard every night and always consistently making the best food!! Ever if the midnapore area don’t miss out!!!!

I recommend the beef noodle soup because it tastes amazing it is my 2 time coming here and I love it
You get so much food here for a great price and the food there taste amazing and I recommend the rare beef noodle soup. they have a cool fish tank in the back and the people are really kind and the service is super fast and friendly. And I also recommend the Vietnamese coffee for a sweet treat

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was too ridiculous not to share. My family and I went to this restaurant expecting a good meal, but instead we wasted over an hour of our time, and never even got our food. After sitting patiently and watching others who came in after us get served, we finally asked what was going on. Turns out they hadn’t even started making our order.
No apology. No explanation. Just a shrug and more waiting. At that point, we had enough and left, completely disappointed and frustrated.
This kind of service is unacceptable. If you’re not able to manage orders properly, at the very least communicate with your customers.
Got a small beef pho to go and the portion is big. Forget McDonald's this is the spot to grab a quick meal

The vermicelli bowl arrived cold. I was given the order by the top of the bag quickly and the delivery guy took off. I’m fine with cold food…if it’s ice cream, popsicles, a salad…but for $20 and a delivery dude who has no idea where he/she is going…delivering hot dishes cold.. is not acceptable and is not the customers fault. Shame on this sad excuse of a restaurant and the uber driver that is used by Ubereats.

Pho so 1 has been our favorite pho restaurant since we moved to Midnapore in 2020. With the new management, the quality and flavor got even better 🙌 Our favorites are #3 Welldone Beef Noodle Soup, #23C Bun Bo Hue Noodle Soup, and #17A Vermicelli. We normally order takeout since we have a toddler and a newborn, but the food is always fresh and tasty 😋 We order at least twice a months here!

First time customer and I was recommended by a friend to try Pho So 1 in Midnapore. I ordered the Grilled Beef with Shrimp & Spring Rolls with Vermicelli along with the Salad Rolls with the Peanut Sauce and was impressed with the portions that were so fresh and crisp!! My friend ordered the same dish along with 2 Vietnamese Grilled Sate Chicken Subs, one to enjoy tomorrow as it is that good!! I will definitely recommend and be back again to enjoy these tasty dishes and let others know about Pho So 1 Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine!!
