A friend of mine from work brought a group of us here and we all loved it. We work in nw and we hassled him the whole drive about bringing us 20 min across town for lunch, but it was definitely worth it. Family run business. Spotless. Food was amazing. Service was exceptional. Will definitely be going here again. Thanks for having us.

Needed some quick takeout in the area and accidentally found this little gem. The friendly staff helped us find the tastiest food on the menu that could be prepared in the shortest amount of time. We went with the Thursday special that includes an appetizer, two entrees, a desert and some salad for $39. The owner's (I assume) recommendations were excellent, particularly the potatoes in a creamy, lightly spicy sauce (papas a la huancaína) and the lomo saltado (stir fried steak in a tasty sauce, with fries and rice). Best takeout I've ever had, and now I'm looking forward to staying to eat in the cute restaurant for dinner another time! The service was efficient and very kind; the overall ambiance, including the salsa music setting the tone, was joyful and light. Gracias y hasta pronto!

I had a ceviche, it cost 30 dollars (cad) and it was very little food, served on a giant plate. I consider that it is an excessive value for what the ceviche they serve is. I have eaten many Peruvian ceviches and the only thing Peruvian about it was the Canchita. I hope they can improve it.

My wife and I visited this place for a special occasion and I'll be more specific with this review because this is a Peruvian food restaurant.1- Reservation: This is the best option before going because the place is usually crowded. You can do that from the restaurant's website and then receive a confirmation mail.2- How to get there? We used the train, so we took the Blue Line until Rundle Station and then we walked for 12 min. You can also take the bus from the train station and then walk for 3 min. There is parking available if you go driving.3- At the restaurant:a) Our table was already separated for us (see attached photo, so we didn't wait at all.b) The menu is pretty varied and prices are as expected; I'd say it is cheaper compared to other restaurants. They have  a menu for meals and another for drinks (I attached photos of current menus as of 2024-02-24).4- Our order (photos and videos attached):a) Dine in: I ordered 1/2 pollada chicken double leg with one side ($17.5), and my wife a Piqueo Criollo ($26) + Picarones ($9). We also ordered a 2L bottle Inca Kola ($8.5) to drink.b) Take out: My wife ordered Alfajores ($5.5).5- Rating: Overall 4/5, Place 4.5/5, Food 4/5, Service 4.5/5.a) 1/2 pollada chicken double leg with one side: the taste was good and the portion was normal (rate 4/5).b) Piqueo Criollo: taste was good, portion was okay, but it does not include the corn as stated on the menu (rate 3.5/5). We asked the waitress about the corn and she said the meal doesn't include it anymore.c) Picaron: taste was really good and portion was okay (rate 4.5/5).d) Alfajor: taste was really good and portion was okay (rate 4.5/5).6- Recommendations:a) For customers: book a reservation, go on time, and ask if there is anything on the menu which is not available or changed.b) For the restaurant:- Update the menu according to what you actually serve.- Plates are small and also slip on the table. Maybe you can get bigger ones for meals with normal and big portions, and also include table placemats.- Charging separately for each sauce that is supposed to come with the meal is something you should think about. It does not happen in other Peruvian restaurants in Calgary and Toronto. Finally, I would like to recommend this place to everyone in Calgary and Canada! you guys will have a great experience! Please feel free to ask if you have any concerns.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free.

The taste of food is amazing and authentic. The customer service is top notch especially the owner himself, I believe is there serving the customers. They seemed to have a lot of regular customers. My friend was celebrating her bday and they gave her a slice of cake, lighted a candle, sung her a happy birthday song together with the other customers, gave a traditional hat and jacket to wear for the pictures and videos. It was a great dinner we had there. Definitely will come back!
