Absolutely horrible - back in the days it used to be a great pizza. Now all you get is greasy, cheezy blob right in the middle of the pie. Never again, shame on you Mercato for destroying a great product.
Pizza at Mercato is the best pizza I’ve EVER had. I’ve eaten it many times. The crust is delicious. The toppings are of the highest quality. We ordered two pizzas to go, after eating on the restaurant side. We had left overs for the next day and it was still delicious. I drive from Airdrie to have their pizza. So good. ?

Echoing other recent reviews, the pizza quality has changed dramatically (crust was a lot lighter but not in a good way and the cheese tasted awful, have had better frozen pizzas), won’t be ordering again.

The pizza has changed substantially. It used to be a thick pan or Greek style pizza. Now it's a sort of Neapolitan style but done really poorly. You can tell the flour, and cheese are low quality, I wouldn't recommend it and I wouldn't order it again.

Nothing special
It’s been a 2 months since we ordered Pizza Mercato and I’m very disappointed to see that the recipe has appeared to change. First, it looks like they’re opting for a thinner crust which was the first hint something was different. The only flavor the Americano pizza had was plain, unseasoned mozzarella cheese. The pizza had no balance of flavours and if I didn’t see sauce I would have assumed it was missing because we couldn’t taste it at all. We also ordered the ceaser salad, which was also disappointing. While the croutons were excellent, the salad dressing lacked flavor and there was not enough dressing for the salad. Overall, this used to be one of our favourite pizza places in the city but we definitely won’t be ordering again.

This used to be the pizza in town. Recently their pizza’s are a disappointment. We always ordered the Isola…changed the pineapple to a dried out piece of pineapple. Our last order we ordered the pepperoni and the other favourite of ours the Formaggi…both were an utter failure. I hope they go back to their original recipe. They have lost our business.

Not sure what happened to the pizza, but it's not the same. It used to be one of the best in town, now the toppings are scarce and the dough is inferior. I guess they changed the recipe. Too bad.
Disappointed is an understatement. Received a pizza for pickup with a grotesque amount of cheese. I know, who complains about cheese on a pizza?!? Unfortunately, there was so much cheese it barely melted and the pizza dough did not cook through. It’s obvious the staff. I would have rather ordered Pizza

Went in randomly with friends. We were sat on the other side of the restaurant but was accommodated to change to the other side for pizza. The pizzas we ordered were really good(funghi & one with pineapple). Our server was really good too!

pizza was really delicious. great staff. affordable prices. i highly recommend
We walked by and decided to try the restaurant after we saw a pizza at another patrons table. It looked delicious... And it was!! Super tasty pizza crust with a rich topping (Bianco Formaggi). We shared a Caesar Salad which was tasty and had a nice nutty cheese grated on top. The Negroni cocktail was prepared very well and was tasty too. Solid Italian wine list but a bit pricy. Dinner for 2 with one cocktail/wine each and top was $80.

The summer patio is a fun little walk up. Good tasty food.
Best pizza in Calgary. The crust is thick, yet so fluffy and light. The funghi is our go to
