We went here for the experience more than the food. We've been to other sushi trains before that had stopped running the train and it was pretty basic. Point Sushi had fast service, the most adorable train delivery, a fantastic menu, and the food was really good.
Amazing sushi spot tucked away in the Calgary Chinese Cultural Society building.
A convenient and easy-to-use tablet allows you to choose up to 4 items at a time from their wise selection of menu items. The food is sent directly to your table once it's ready, so it arrives very fresh.
The atmosphere is very quiet and private, the servers are discreet and only come to your table to take empty plates and serve alcohol. Highly recommended for those who are sushi lovers and/or have social anxiety in restaurant settings.
Love this place, you can just mind your business and have a little train deliver your dishes to you. I like to come here to read or experience the train. Sushi is also pretty good!
Really good! The waiting time for food is a little bit long (10-20 minutes) but for sushi it's quite quick. The food itself taste very good. However, the prices in this place is quite expensive (4x compared to Japan, 1.5x compared to other sushi places in Alberta)
One of the best restaurants in Calgary! Great quality food and great service. Every dish is always amazing. 10/10 dining experience
I make sure I come here at least twice every time I'm in Calgary. It is cheap and delicious! For example, just yesterday I went in for lunch. I had: miso soup ×2, California rolls, spicy salmon rolls, spicy tuna rolls, a tea, and an ice cream for dessert, all for only $20.32 !!! Can't beat that value
A bit noisy and loud and seated between two other booths 😵💫😬 felt like a diner with more commercial appeal and while the bullet train concept is neat the delivery feels a bit tacky - it’s a plastic tray that looks worn. The food itself is alright but the menu is stuck in one place and is awkward to scroll through from the seats
Food takes a bit longer than expected and the waitress’s mannerisms was rushed not out of the place actually being busy (and even if it was you should still take proper care and time with the customer and provide a pleasant dining experience) but almost out of ego and wanting to appear like she wasn’t available or not to bother her with questions etc they seemed more sycophantic to white customers which unfortunately is so ingrained and conditioned into people and not based on merit just simple habitual patterns of society that it infiltrates every level of service.
One of the restaurants in downtown that we always go back to whenever we visit this city.

Fun atmosphere its just that this place is in downtown chinatown out of all places. Not very picky on the atmosphere but the train! Its fun to look at while you order food.

I was pretty excited to try a copycat of the conveyor belt sushi that could be found in Japan here in Calgary… but was rather disappointed by the taste. The ambiance is nice and it is really fun to see this small shinkansen dropping your food at your stall. But other than, I wasn’t impressed by the food. Even though the food looked really nice, the taste wasn’t there: salmon didn’t taste anything, just bland (tried the sockeye salmon sashimi, cream salmon and seared salmon nigiri, salmon carpaccio), the eel/unagi nigiri tasted a bit fishy. Scallop nigiri is also bland, but I don’t know if there should be any flavor to it. And the sweet soy sauce is just overpowering and drown everything else (like on the salmon nigiri and the beek teriyaki bowl rice). I am sad to say I won’t go there next time.

Been here several times in 2024.
Found it on Google maps for the search “sushi train”.
We went purely out of curiosity. The food is ordinary, one cannot say that “I have never tasted such delicious dishes anywhere.” At the same time, the idea with trains is quite interesting and children really like it. The selection of sushi is very small.
On the plus side: it has its own underground parking. If you love sushi/rolls, then I would definitely recommend visiting at least once, and then decide for yourself whether to come again))
